MMORPG.com Atlantica Online Correspondent Dennis Carney writes this article discussing the diversity in things to do in NDoors' F2P game.
Atlantica Online... Quite possibly one of the most ground breaking MMORPGs to hit the Free to Play world. From their one of a kind "Turn-Based" fighting style, to the one of a kind Item Mall items they provide, it certainly has turned the eyes of its competitors in the past year. Within the past couple of months, Atlantica Online has made countless updates to their arsenal of goodies that you can "gamble" for.
From the upcoming "Angel's Wings", to a new Motorcycle-esque mount from space named Mars, we can only imagine what NDoors have up their sleeves next. Oh yeah... maybe a cat in a bag that you can wear on your back! But for a small and cuddly kitty, he adds 400-500 attack power, 70 vitality, and 500 defense. So all you really have to do is walk backwards and he can take care of all of the killing for you.
But what makes Atlantica Online so addictive and intriguing? Could it be the incredibly fun PVP system that they have dubbed "Free League"? As one who never battles other Players from fear of losing, Atlantica Online has opened that door to many players and has shown them that it can be a lot of fun!

Is that an article or a PR piece?
I'm actually a fan of Atlantica, but overly gushing pieces like that don't help the game.
PvP isn't that fun, because unless you happen t use an uber build, you're gonna lose most of the time. There's a lot of mercs, but only some are actually useful. (Double Spear/Stun/Musician is the current build of choice, along with double monks which is the only thing that has even a slight chance against them)
Those things like the kitty bag, mars cycle, angel wings are not only cash shop items, they come from gambling boxes. You might spend $100 and not get one. "Teleportation, Auto-Battle, and Auto-Search" you mention are also pay features, costing $15 a month
OTOH, you undersold the best part of the game, I think, the quests. Close to 2500 actually, and unlike most other games, they are simple to do without having to look stuff up, nor do they take hours and hours. Most can be done in under 30 minutes, great for a casual gamer.

Hello trancejeremy, and thank you for reading my piece.
I wrote this piece for members who were in more of the "I play it a little, but haven't gotten into it yet" genre.
I was hoping to reveal some of the updates that Atlantica Online makes regularly. It is very nice to see a F2P MMORPG that is taken good of care of. The article also was based on just a couple features that NDOORS has brought to us... If I wrote an article about everything in Atlantica Online, I would still be typing up until next week
I do plan on expressing more "in-depth" articles about Atlantica Online in the near future, so if I happen to undersell some features included in Atlantica Online, do not fret, for they will be covered in later articles
But for now, please feel free to talk about this article in any way, shape or form. I do appreciate the comments as it will help me to see what the readers look forward to!
Thanks again!

It is an interesting game with loads of strategy and options for combat. But, if you have wearied of constantly struggling to gear up a toon to the point where he/she is half-way useful, this game might drive you nuts since you have not just you, but up to 8 other mercs to try and keep decently geared. It drove me right over the edge.....
