  There is a posibilty that the closed beta could start in September, but right now the game still hasn't reach that point. You won't see FFXIV until at least 4Q 2010 ... I wouldn't even be surprised about pushing back to 2011, but that would be a much later announcement.

  I think it's unlikely that beta will begin in September but I'm hopeful that it will start early 2010 with a release date mid-end 2010.

  Friend that reads Japanese forums said that september 09 is the tokyo game show and thats when japanese beta starts.
