Is there someone who handles refunds at Funcom? I think I'd like a refund of my purchase price. Also please tell me where to send back my copy of AOC. I'd like you to have it back. I'll sign it honest, in fact I'll sign it right now just to make sure I don't forget.
Thanks for the drunken brawls, the DX10 at launch, the sieges for level 50 players, the voiceovers after Tortage, and lastly the forums, oh what a joy they have been sharing with all the joys and feeling of fullness after playing AOC. I will tell all my friends that the tons of new content has kept me fully engaged for days straight no weeks straight at my computer.
Thank you all Erling included for doing your best to daily tell very honest truths and make the most factual statements possible about AOC, the PVP system launched with the game. Thank you Craig for all your hardwork, all the apparent overtime you have invested into the effort with AOC, the blood, the sweat, the weight you've lost, the dark circles under your eyes, the demonic symbolism appearing on your body in the the latest promotional videos, its clear you've paid the price for establishing such a fine piece of, well a fine piece. Thank you Famine for your steadfast devotion to sharing of the knowledge both good and bad, success and success of AOC.
Its been a miracle of well I've never been so entertained, so amazed by what can appear on a computer screen, so virtually impressed with a product, its as if Age of Conan Hyborian Adventures was sent to us by God herself to be enjoyed by all the good boys and girls of the world.

I never did reactivate my account during that publicity act to get veterans back.
Glad after hearing that they barely did anything to improve the game that I did not waste my time installing/downloading.

Well, there are other MMOs out there. Competition does wonders and fortunately AoC is not your only choice. So enjoy wherever you go. You've had a rough ride and it is safe to say that everything for you concerning MMOs will only go upwards from now on. I mean, it can't get any worse.
Someone once told me that AoC is good for only one thing - to remind yourself what a wonderful time you had in "insert random MMO here". That was a very wise man
Lets be fair about this, you were willing to send them back there game i do not see how they could be that upset. They sure did not mind taking your money for an unfinished product. Well and signing it may have caused them some problems eraseing it before they resold the disk. So ya signing it was what got em hot. my guess

Nothing i think its great. If it were me i think i would send it return receipt requested. Or certified mail. just a thought

Lol, that was a thing of beauty. It isn't complete, however, without mentioning the "NUMBAH WUNN!" fanboi of all things AoC...Amazing Avery.
When a sub game reminds me how good Guild Wars did their job, that game fails. When I have more fun playing Tabula Rasa, that game fails.

This is just further proof of the inept management at FC with all the trouble getting subs I'm sure they've had they want to ban someone they had already duped eeer I mean who had been kind enough to have given Hyboria a chance in the first place simply because what they were called out on all the false advertisement? But in all seriousness this is exactly why I say mmo players need to remain critical of companies like FC and others who at the least are so inept as to order packaging before the features are even ready. I've often seen people compare what FC did to buying a car and discovering that the engine nor the brakes were in many think that's a bit harsh but let's look at it like this what if you went to the store and bought your favorite bands newest album and 10 songs were listed and when you pop the disk in there are only three would that really fly?
but yeah, to call this game Fantastic is like calling Twilight the Godfather of vampire movies....

Funcom really should allow a bit of "fun", including funcom directed sarcasm in their forums...
Heck they would do better if they reassign the forum moderators to GM duties - In turn they could make the GM's (both of them) forum mods.

I wouldn't actually be surprised if Avery were either Erlinges or Famine? I mean, it wouldn't be the first time. On the EU forums there was this über bitch Tahitoa who had a fetish for kitties and liked to close threads on an hourly basis. There was also some über fangirl (and I mean really über, since she agreed with absolutely everything Funcom did and never spoken bad about them or the game anytime) named Amorey telling players all around how the game is awesome and how Funcom are great developers etc. Well, what do you know, Amorey turned out to be Tahitoa, the fanbot that happens to be paid by Funcom. She is no longer on the forums, fortunately, but this only shows what sorts of tricks Funcom does.

Funcom seems to think that shilling and viral marketing is a valid and ethical way to promote a product. Can't say that I agree with people who sit and talk up a product without any responsibility to accurately represent the product.

The euro forums were indeed fun back then.
I guess it became obvious to anyone NOT working for funcom fairly early but all possible personal problems aside, from the outside the Tahitoa/Amorey act looked like the best roleplaying going on in AoC.
It was a little sad to see the Amorey character got more and more bitter, yet claiming to spread "love".

Only 2 posts. I have way more than 2 posts giving factual back up to how AOC is doing, what is in the game and what is missing, and what it has, and a no bs assesment of what free trial players can expect.
The reason my assessment differs from some of the others Avery, PezzBomb, etc... so much, is because I am not being compensated for my comments by anything more than my ego, which says when a company goes out of its way to perpertrate a fraudulent exprience to potentially interested parties, i.e. potential customers using shills, which Funcom admits to doing in their financial report, I feel it is more than fair to let others know what a rip-off AOC really was and continues to be.
You can expect a few more than 2 posts on this, until my anger cools and another MMO or hobby comes along. Its angry because the exprience was a ripoff, becuase they were too smug to take my request for a refund seriously and too dense to realize they have major problems with the game and refuse to fix them.

Banned Permanently. Well I did write another post earlier in the week asking where I should send the game back and for a refund I didn't get as detailed or elaborate as much and give my regards to Famine, Erling, Craig and the rest like I did in that last post.
