mmorpg with multiple chars or pets?

Looking for a mmorpg that allows one to control multiple characters at once, each with their own equipment and stats, etc.

 

Alternatively, looking for a mmorpg that allows one to control multiple pets. anything?

    NO sure about the control. BUt AoC allows the necromancer a sqad of undead. Put a few necromancers together and you're facing an army

     

    Also, as I recall DAOC had anamists which threw spore pets all over the place.

    Atlantica Online you control your main character and up to 8 other mercenaries once you get high enough.  You start out with your main plus 2 or 3 mercs.

    In guildwars you don't really control the npc but you can bring them along and DDO will be offering hirelings I think when it re-launches.
