Dude, this game seemed cool until the point where you have to connect to someones machine to play? LOL wtf!!! and then the Fake Nplayer game guard is a scam! It is required to play Huxley and then tries to tell me it found a virus and can provide a paid scan? GTFO here I have spyhunter 3 paid version and full version of McAfee and not finiding shit.
Well yanked that crap off, its almost malwrae and im outta there sorry but Huxley is like me and some friends doing a mmo from a website in our basement.

It started out good, untill I had a slideshow match. It does seem you actually connect to a player host for matches. Worst idea ever, imo.
I hope, for their sake, they get the connection issues sorted soon. It was horrible.
Oh, and, grinding in an FPS is still boring .
Couple things. 1) Huxely will probably tank. 2) McAffee and Spyhunter 3 both suck.
Use Malwarebytes Antimalware and SuperAntiSpyware instead.
A sure sign that you are in an old, dying paradigm/mindset, is when you are scared of new ideas and new technology. Don't feel bad. The world is moving on without you, and you are welcome to yell "Get Off My Lawn!" all you want while it happens. You cannot, however, stop an idea whose time has come.

On what scientific fact are you basing that Mcaffee sucks?
Maybe this? Or this? Or any other reviews done of McAfee?
I would recommend G Data Internet Security personally. This coupled with Malwarebytes Anti-malware and you will be as protected as currently possible.

I run an I.T. Services company, and we have to use Malwarebytes on a daily basis to remove stuff the other "top" antivirus programs never see. So far Malwarebytes has performed better than Trend, Panda, Norton, McCafee and a few others. The proof is in my work. I have no stake in Malwarebytes, so I don't make any money by telling you it has worked better for me.
For example, I had one in here today where Malwarebytes detected 251 infected objects (the computer was having all kinds of problems) including a bunch of trojans, while Norton sat happily in the system tray reporting NOTHING. I see this same thing with other mainstream AV solutions.
Your experience my vary, but this has been mine. We end up using 3 main tools here, and it cleans nearly everything. Malwarebytes, Hijack This, and SuperAntiSpyware. We have lots of other tools as well, but I rarely use them for most infected machines.

Having to use gameguard sucks.....but some form of anticheat is needed and thank god it isnt punkbuster....
The real PvP will be the battlegrounds, not the arena pvp. The battlegrounds will be hosted by ijji.

I would like to reiterate the most important part of the OP. GameGuard found a virus. This could be a false positive, but with the inadequate internet security software you are running it is likely you are infected. I recommend getting some real protection software and doing a full system scan.

I run my own computer shop and can pretty much agree with your statement. I use different tools for my home computer, but superantispyware is amazing. I also use avast lolz., and zone alarm free firewall and can keep my computer cleanof any baddies. AVG is a nice antivirus as well. There are plenty of uber ones out, but this guy has name some of the top dogs of the industry. Norton and Mcaffee should be label as scams imo.
worked part-time in a PC repair shop for the past 2 years and we use Malwarebytes and AVG
and agreed norton and mcaffee are crap.
I read this thread and decided to install Malwarebytes and it found infected items. Thanks to those who mentioned and recommended it.
Well i do IT and my company uses 0 ati virus. How do you get 200 viruses? And why did you even use a program to clean em when you shoulda installed a clean back up if you found any past 10.
No matter what program you use you should never trust it 100% to find and clean your computer.
Now if your network was hacked then ya i can understand 200 viruses on a company comp. But then you have bigger issues than finding a anti virus program to clean it.
I dont know what your company does but you should monitor and control what sites and what multimedia your co-wokers have access to.
Just takn a stab at the dark but i think the guy that had 200 virus on his comp was looking up porn on company time.
Im sure your company is larger than mine and does different buisness than my. But have you asked yourself: "Who needs to go on the web to do there work?"
Been a computer tech for 8 years... McAfee and Norton are not used by any computer repairs shops and better alternatives are offered by any "real" computer tech thats not trying to make a few extra bucks. The reason McAfee and Norton are so crappy are because they are the mainstream programs and have been out longer than most others. Virus, Spy and Malware creaters have learned how to bypass them over the years and their techniques keep growing. Therefore they are basically worthless and just simply have a good marketing rep who some how keeps them sold to all the computer manufactuers to pre-install on their set-ups.

stay the course fellas..
wait a damn minute, this game connects you to a players machine and that player hosts the game? please tell me this is a joke or false? If this is true, then the entire dev team ought to quit the industry.. better yet, their bosses that pushed such a god-awful idea onto them.
a damn travesty

i'm sorry to half to disagree with the people saying norton is crap, ive been a user for 4 years and it's suited me well.
Played:
Lineage 2, World of Warcraft, Everquest 1, and 2 , Starcraft, Warcraft, Diablo 2, Saga of Ryzom, Warhammer Online, Dark Ages of Camelot...etc
People people.... This was about Huxley and not about Anti-Virus Stuff.Go back to the game facts and etc.
Yea seriously people wtf. Who cares about your anti-virus stuff stop downloading pron and you'll probably be fine for the rest of your computers life, lol.
I really want to know what's up with this game. I've been waiting in anticipation and to read the OP that it sucks, that's a big let down. Was it just that there was some connection issues? I mean I like FPS and I rather grind in a FPS than a regular RPG.
lol at some peopels who thinks norton and mcaffe r better. i bet if u downlaod avg. it will find viruses on your computer already. tell me this have you always done a system scan on norton and mcaffe and it always comes clean. well thats has happened to me as well. but then i had tried avg . and it found viruses on my computer. listen to those people who says mcafee and norton is bad.
Well, at least it looks better than MOST F2Ps out. A lot of them are just cheap Korean/Chinese anime knockoffs. This is adding something fresh to the scene. Was never expecting this game to be the "Bestest shoota ever!", but it's at least worth a try
Currently playing: Star Wars: The Old Republic, World of Warcraft, Dota 2, League of Legends
Waiting on: Blade & Soul, Guild Wars 2, Tera, Kingdoms of Amular, Firefall
yea, seriously looks like the graphics will be scalable for people who really can utilize all the advance texturing.
Best virus scanner/firewall is ESET NOD32. Just get nodlogin to go with it and it's free.
yea I like it a lot too. I have the x64 version, I just use the maru-fix.

This, I run my own shop as well and from 10 years of experience I will straight up tell you Mcafee is beyond garbage and Norton is actually worse as it often gets used by virus infected systems that have norton AGAINST the person trying to repair the system. If you want to feel safe Malwarebytes is the best software on the planet bar none/ ccleaner to keep the clutter off the system/ zone alarm for firewall(if you need it, a router is a firewall so..), avg or avast for virus scan(both free versions are MUCH better than Mcafee) Hi jack this to monitor low lvl boot(be careful if you're a novice) and Smart defrag for defrag. Funny thing all of this stuff is free and FAR better than the crap system works packages these big companies produce.
As far as it detecting a virus it was probably the heuristics scanning seeing virus behavior from a legit program or a false positive in other words.
PC-Cillin used to be good, till it got bloated... If you haven't tried NOD32, I HIGHLY recommend it. It's not free, but it's like 60/year I think.
Umm, yes it is free!
