Some of you are attacking the reviewer for not playing the game long enough. I played it for two months and I saw all of the problems he was talking about plus a whole lot more. He didnt even mention cookie cutter avatars. Everyone looks exactly the same, well ok I get to have a choice of color between green and purple, or pay out the arse for black and white. Nice choice.
What about trying to be a healer? SoR says they are going to rebalance the magic users, who by the way got the shaft after Beta 1.5. I dont see anything about fixing the healers. You dont get experience in healing for healing people. Before you hit the Flame 3 button here is how the game works. You dont get exp for healing someone who is injured. You dont get exp for healing someone who is in your party and injured. You only get exp for healing a person who is in your party AND is in the middle of a melee fight, did I mention that healing that person draws instant agro from the monster he is beating up on? You die.
I loved the skill tree system. In theory it allows you to be any type of player you want to be. The way the game mechanics are set up you can be anything you want to be as long as its a fighter. Pure Mage is just one long drawn out death cycle. Pure Healer doesnt exsist because it cant. Pure forager cant forage past skill level 50. Pure Crafter would be nice if the economy exsisted, see the review for more info. You have to be a fighter first before you can be anything else. You look just like everyone else I mean Light Armor is Light Armor no matter what color it is, and you only get 4 colors anyways. The economy is broken. The events are... well they are coming in the very distant future. Guild Raids... also coming in the distant future. Mounts? nope. Outpost Raids, and guild owner ship of outpost? nope. If you like melee fighting, and dont mind that you look just like every other fighter then this game may be for you. If you want to be or do anything else, either wait for them to fix the game ( which no one knows how long that will be) or play a different game.

False : First your character design can be very original and ive never seen anyone looking like me. You also have the choice of different race armor (when your high enough to travel or if theres a crafter with other race armor in your area). You start with "normal" then at ql 50 you change to 'medium quality" they look different. In my guild we love to look different, we wear different armor of different color from different race.

Well I often play as a healer, never been aggroed. If you are behind a fighter the mobs will always attack the fighter because he cant pass through him. I went to Prime Root as a healer (thoughest place on Atys) and I didnt have any problem with aggro and didnt died except when the whole party died.

My highest skill is 70 elemental magic, i dont have a problem with dying. Of course I die once in a while but nothing abnormal. In every mmorpgs ive played you die a bit more when you solo as a nuker then a fighter, but if you explore and find the good mobs in the good place you can lvl real fast.
Like I said ive played as a healer, being able to lvl by healing random person would be nice but I can lvl and heal efficiently.
About forager : You mean you cant forage above lvl 50 if your other skills are too low because you die from explosions or gaz. You can see when the source is going to blow up and stop your action before it happens. If you mean you couldnt go to forage grounds above 50 because of the mobs, well what would you want ? a nice golden trail with a lion and a robot to help you ?

Moutns, outpost, GvG is coming with patch 2, no date yet but they said before x-mass.
Stop taliking about SoR if you dont know its current state after 26 patch.
