Project Entropia

Hey every1!

I'm not a newbie to forums but I AM a newbie to MMORPG'S!

I was wondering if anyone could give me some information on "Project Entropia", maybe some insider knowledge from previous experience or a map in A4 size ?? That would be great because once I start "Project Entropia" i am going to write a detailed guide for newbies and veterans alike where to get the best deals, advice on where to go Etc.

Also if anyone has seen the article about "Treasure Island" that was sold equivalent to £13,600 (Off an english site), please discuss, was this a stupid investment, a great opportunity ??? Etc.

Thanks and Merry Christmas/Kwansa/Hanukah.....

But don't you think that for hunting & mining rights, and a perfect site for real estate development, over a time-period of about 2 years could actually pay off, remember it is quite big and has it's own castle, a tourist attraction maybe ?? imageimageimage

PS. If anyone has a newbie guide that would be great! Also once I get really into the game  am going to write a guide for all things PE :)

I'll give Entropia points for trying something new...

but from everything I heards the game needs ALOT more work...

Perhaps I'm still quite oold fashioned, but I'm thinking all that money for treasure island could have been used so very much better. (Car, education, porn star) But, I also have done a very good job of only allowing my wallet out for games and fees.

So who knows, maybe it will work out to be a hell of an investment for some guy, in England, with way too much cash.

Great point! Btw. the guy who bought "Treasure Island" is called David Storey and he is from Melbourne in Australia! But even though it might pay off, he has to be a whacko! image

Wow that sign is nearly spam....

Is project entropia that crappy game with RL money ? yes :P

Because : using RL money in a mmorpg is far from being realistic, its like using monopoly money in RL..

Money in a virtual world should be made in that world.

Plus it makes a class division in game based on the class position of the player in RL, in other words : rich momie's boy have the best equipement and etc...

Some stoopid guy payed 26 000 $ for a virtual island... if i was the devs i would be pissing in my shorts...

    Seriously its pathetic...

My 2 cents about Project Entropia, aka Project RichKidddies.

This topic! Project Entropia is a one-of-a-kind MMORPG because economics of the game, if this is a true MMORPG forum it would talk alot about the next generation of MMORPG's! imageimageimage

We could talk about how some games (Project Entropia and others) are actively participating in the degradation of the genre.

Or how using RL money is a bad design decision.

Or how this type of game brings new player to the ever growing hyping "wanna be" community we now have in mmorpgs. (I miss the good old mud days...)

Or how many new games claim to be next gen mmorpg while only changing a few aspect of original games and making them worse.

Real-life sense ?  how do you explain using RL money in a realistic way ? its not realistic at all, in RL you work for $, same for virtual world, your avatar work for $.

image  PE... hmmm first off... the guides... you can google for PE and find quite a few.  There are a couple of hard-core Entropia websites that have more complete beginner's guides than MA has EVER released..  That being said.....

...I have been in PE for over a year now, and am COMPLETELY disappointed in it.  The idea of a real economy is great! Instead of pay to play, I decide if I want to spend cash.  Problem is, if you don't spend cash it is almost IMPOSSIBLE to get anywhere.  THEN, they went and changed everything.  Now, I deposit 100 USD, hunt for 30 minutes, and have  0 dollars left!!!!  While some guy logs in who has never played before, a guy next to me gives him a pistol and 100 rounds of ammo.. He walks outside of town.. finds the smallest little mob you've ever seen... and BANG! MindArk rewards him with 1500 USD for the kill!!!!!! imageimage

DON'T GET SUCKERED IN!!!!!  The world is great, the graphics are great, SOME of the people are great... but in the end, it's the cyber version of playing the lottery with your real money.  :(((((

Hello, Maybe you could have picked a different topic name? I created one called Project Entropia not but a few days ago...why not just add on to that? you didnt have to have the SAME topic name, and every thing.

also...be ready to put in lots of money in PE to get any where ^_^

Go ahead try PE out....but i warn you...once you put in some money you can't stop. I have played PE for a year now and has managed to stay away from that temptation pretty good but have deposited some money. "Endel Durath Despellanion" is the name...come seek me out in game image

Honestly, PE is a awesome game and one of the best MMORPGs i've ever played. Anarchy Online is just "ass-wipe" compared to PE. The problem is that it's veeeerrry addictive. image

Yeah i read about this game, one of the highest prices ever paid for an ingame "virtual" item/land, is insane how far people are willing to go.

But your right this person should make his money back and i bet he/she knew this when buying, after all that amount of money is nothing to some people.
