I hope they do something like City of Heroes from beta.  Your 1st character name is held for you over to live.

    Names are attached to your account name and not necessarily unique within the game, so you can use whatever names you want.  Duplicate names are resolved through the account name.  So you don't have to worry about someone stealing a name, since you can use whatever names you want regardless or whether anyone else has used them.  They must be unique per account but not in the world.

    Names are not unique.  A name cannot be "taken".  They are using other ways of identifying characters.

    Well I'm not even sure what powers I'd like best, so I'll throw some general ones out there.

    1) Face Breaker (name explains itself)

    2) Benevolence (this would be some kind of magical/ethereal power, like a priest)

    3) Steady Shot (I like Archery and I'll probably make a bow and arrow hero)

    4) White Noise (Annoying sonic powers are cool, too)

    5) Molten Max OR Coolant, depending on whether I pick a fire based or ice based toon.

    Yes, before I make my characters I'll think of better names.

    To be honest I haven't thought about what kind of character I want. I guess I will spend lots of time mucking about with the character creation to see what kind of monstrosities I come up with. In CoH I had a guy dressed up as a construction worker wielding a wrench and manhole cover called "Construction Worker" :P
