I just think the level of skill it takes to play a mage is much, MUCH higher than any class in game by a mile.
To tell someone they suck because they struggled with the mage is just a bit skewed, because they could prolly play many other classes and do well. Mages are soft. They have no pally bubble. They have no cloak of shadows vanish. They have no heal. The burst dps of a mage is weak. They have no pets. All the CC of a mage is broke on damage or via trinket. I think I made my point.
youre really clueless arent you? either you never played mage or you failed hard at a basic game. how about mention the super survivabillity there is with - iceblock - Ice Barrier - mana shield - blink - all frostnova and snare effects - plus much other in different specs that help you survive

I got a friend thats a 2700+ rated mage. Obviously Im sure hes not the only one but typically from what Ive seen, its easier in WoW to play a priest, druid, huntard, retardin, pally, etc etc etc in pvp than it is to play a mage.
Hello. I just pre-order AION and I would be really glad if some experienced players could help me out. For some reason I ALWAYS pick the class that SUCKS. Like in WOW. I was playing as a mage. They sucked so bad. So this time I would be really glad to start with a class that is GOOD. For once I want to kick someone’s butt and /spit Well I was thinking of playing a warrior- dps gladiator? It all depends what you wanna play, if you like the mage class then choose it. Mages are good in Aion, and a really good dps.
If you want a multiclass that can dps and heal, do chanter. And a Tank choose Templar. And you can choose by what manastones you use how you want your char to be.
