Hi there i just got the game Arma 2 , looks like a good game , but the freaking game laggs out of hell.

i got a mid high pc over normal.

DUO core 2100

6 Gb ram

Geforece 9600 GT

Raptor 10k rpm

The game still laggs, it should run collorful without a hitch

Anyone has the same problem or know how to resolve it ?

System Specc
Intel I7 4770K 3,5 ghz
16Gb RAM 1600 mhz
Nvidia GTX 780

    thats why you play the demo first...

     

    the game nearly requires a quad core to get to run smoothly plus your graphics card is crap for arma 2

    I dont know what the speed is of your DUO core 2100, but I run

    - AMD 64 X2 Dual core 6400+ (3.21Ghz)

    - 2GB RAM

    - Geforce 9800GT

    And the game plays fine for me, I run it on 1920x1200 for resolution and 3D resolution visibility at 4000m,  everything else set on normal, except post processing is low (since it just blurrs everything too much if higher).

    *edit - aswell in fraps i get on average 45fps.

     

    I would suggest make sure video drivers are up to date aswell direct-x.

    though your cpu may be your downfall
