they better make it actually like the Dothack series and not just make the characters look like it
Actually, if they made a MMORPG like this then their next series of episodes should be based on the MMORPG. And, they should change the theme of the game from time to time when the content is completely spent for the show. Just imagine though - you run into one of the devs logging a session to be recorded as a basis for the show and your character might show up on the series. I think it'd be cool to also have a feature which you can turn on/off for others to view what your character is doing first-person or something. I like getting into the heads of other people if they permit me and I think it'd be cool (even if it's incredibly boring) to see how other people spend their time (granted they'd have to permit you to view them).

then u have to think not many ppl would let u see wat their doing and then u got some ppl who have that infearoity complex about wat other ppl think so it would be a good idea to have that sometimes well all i say is that it would be cool and and I WANT COMA INDUCING HEADPHONES!!!!!!!
Its probably true, and its plrbably in secret devoleopment, but you wont have any head set thing on your head, you will most likely use a keyboard+mouse+monitor to play.
It would be cool to have the headset with it, but if it did, it would cost like $200 !
the thing about the cost is no one would care they would buy it any way i would and all the headset would be was a basic with mini tv screens inthem to let u see your characters first person view so as far as i can say the expense would be trivial but the monthy fee would be a bit much if u think about it
The only thing I wouldn't like about a headset is the potential health risk for your eyes. Ever hear not to sit too close to the TV or to keep a book a distance from your eyes when you read? I think playing a game like that with a headset would shoot your eyesight to hell.

Ever since I got into the .hack series, I've thought about this. It would be so great if they created "The World". A couple of days ago I emailed Bandai about this, I'll post here with the reply, if I ever get one.....
I would definitely try the game, but thats an interesting idea. An mmorpg about....an mmorpg.....Would we play as the player of the mmorpg? or just as the character IN the mmorpg? interesting question..
Anyway, the coma inducing headsets would be a good feature. Get to be sucked into an online game playing 24/7...hmm I do that nearly already not much of a dif.., but still great!
well in theory a developer would love the chance to make a .hack/sign MMORPG. THe main reason being that it would do something no MMORPG has ever done before. THat is open up the Japanese marker to MMORPG's. EQ tried to sell in japan and it bombed their check the stats on game sells their they are not successfull. i was watchign something on G4tv a while back and im not sure if its true. but some dude was saying that the japanese gaming market leans toward a lot more guided non open ended games. with teh exception of final fantasy this is true as far as sales go. Fable flopped their partially cus no one liekes xbox in japan. and so ave many open ended RPG's.
But if u made .hack/sign MMORPG it would take a thing japanese gamers love or at least respect and reel them into a new thing, a MMORPG.
PS if they do make this game they NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED to make the little VR helmets with the controler. i dont care if the game costs 200 bucks in that case.
