It's not entirely Blizzards fault that for some reason the login is not working. They are obviously trying to solve the problem, they aren't just sitting around.
I still think that If the servers are down for a certain time the clock should stop ticking on your billing date. So let's say that over a month (30 days) the servers have been down for a total of 2 days. Then you would not be billed UNTIL 32 days, opposed to 30.
It just takes it'd toll on you after trying to log in for 5 hours. I mean, now I really want to play the game, but I can't, and it's really pissing me (and it seems like alot of other people) off.
Sit back and relax people....these types of games never run as smoothly as everyone wishes as soon as they come out. I've been spending countless hrs. on this game (sadly enough) and these past 2 days (maybe not even that much) have been the worst I've seen yet. Blizzard usually gets everything runnin again in a hurry so just relax and let them handle it.
P.S. If you're really that concerned...wait the game out for a month or so and then start playing. If you think it's insufferable now, then just don't play at all. Hehe.

I've played this game since the day after release (don't belive me, send a whisper to Grotub on the burning blade or lightning blade, i play on both, burning is horde, lightning is alliance........or is it the other way around....bah ), and to this day the problems have yet to be fixed. I even canceled my account a few days ago because i found it so bad. I also didn't like their customer support, and am just plainly afraid to go to their forums. I read that little thing where it said the game was designed not to be a grind, i found it complete BS, but this topic isn't refering to that. In one period, i couldn't get on the game for at least 3 days. Half the time i log in the servers are down or going down. (could just be the times at which i log in, but i don't think so)
its certainly a fun game, but i don't think its nearly fun enough to warrent all of what you have to go through, and the problems with the coummunity; almost every area i go into is completly filled with poeple called each other noobes, idiots, retards, ect. All because they aren't hardcore gamers, or they have different opinions.

Actually this is incorrect. EQ2 has had unschuled downtime once (down a little less than 2 days). So it is actually better.
Someone said that Blizzard's Customer Service was worse than SOE's: It actually depends on what game you're playing. If you're playing SWG, well I'm still waiting for a resolution to the petition I filed 8 months ago (that was sarcasm, I'm not really waiting, I know they blew me off). EQ2 on the other hand, has the best Customer Service I've seen to date. It's like 2 completely different companies. Every hour that the servers were down one of the Dev's posted an update. Sure most of the updates just said, "Still down no ETA" but it was nice to hear something.
Someone also said that SOE was ignoring the problems. This seems like a Fanboi just blindly lashing out without facts to back him up. EQ2 has had just as many patches as WoW, and they are obviously implemented better due to the fact the EQ2 servers don't go down nearly as much.
Now I don't mind a little EQ2 bashing, because believe me it does have its problems, but don't just spout falsehoods just so you can feel better about your game of choice. Keep the bashing factual at least.

That seems fair to me.
They did it before, they'll do i again I'm pretty sure they will reinburse you those 2 days + (lets home not more).

Hahah good idea but i just spent about 5 hours with them at dinner than a movie.
and the day before spent the whole day with them almost...got in 3 hours of WoW
