I can't even bring myself to visit the official Forums anymore. It's like the ghost of Battle.Net past ....
They should really implement an age limit. Highly unlikely I know, but extreme cases call for extreme solutions, and the official WoW forums are a cesspool of Leet-Speeeek, NOOB calling, and pure personal attacks. It's nearly impossible to find anything remotely useful.

I don't think they need an age limit. They need moderators who know how to do their jobs. Posts (regarding PvP/realms etc) are never moved from the General forum to their relevant forums, and 1337-speaking mongoloids are allowed free reign to post pretty much whatever they like.
It's a shame because in my experience the in-game culture is completely different.
I was extremely wary of playing WoW after browsing the forums, but I didn't make the small-minded mistake of concluding the forums must be representative of the in-game culture before I even played, as some people seem to have done.
I'm sorry I acutally do both, talk "733t" talk myself sometimes and I help whenever I can. Too bad that the WoW official forums went down or whatever happened...
You must not have looked at the class specific forums... I've never heard so much bitching in my life. "Mages need to do 3x more damage" "Rogues need to be able to wear all armor" "nerf all classes but mine" I mean seriously... If i wanted to hear bitching 24/7 i'd work at a day-care center. If there are more than 20 useful posts on that whole site, I'd be greatly surprised. Bliz needs to get it together and clean up the god damn forums.

The problem is how would you enforce an age limit?
Moderation is needed and to curb the problem that moderation needs to (initially at least) hit like a sledgehammer!
Blizzard has strict rules, the problem is that they arent enforced good enough yet
i mean come on, only 1 mod per forum. I think there should be atleast 3. So they can cover eachother, I think then the forums wil be better managed.
I also think it is true that there is just to much whining instead of giving info. It seems to me that about 90% of all beta testers in europe forgotten they are still in beta and think they have gone to release ><.
In america, well to be honest, As i have seen worse and seen better. I hope Blizzard will imporve his forum-moderation in time, so all ppl can enjoy the game.

I mean - Where are poll features? Sticky? more avatars? some much better interface?
The main site is also out of date. On the warrior page, it says "slaughter monsters" as one of the warriors strengths
they should have made a launch redesign if you ask me!
And why dont they have mods for each forums... All does servers:( They need event managers too.
And I seriously think that does 3 people... tyren, ordinn and cay are not doing their job probably. They should go in an interacte with the community.
I dont think I have seen a blue post ever in the role playing forum. thats just utter pathetic IMO.
yup, the Wow forums aint great but its still beta, im sure they will have a lot more improvment once it goes live.
And for the leet ppl, just ignore them don't give them the attention they want, thats all they are attention seekers
Correct me if i am wrong but has far as i know US has gone Retail so has AUS
Korea is in its final stage and only Europe is lacking behind. Europ is still in it closed beta testing and there are special rules to get into the Final Beta ><. Funny thing is that US is retail and Europe not and they both use the same version of the gama
Isnt Europe-version is one patch ahead of US? (No idea on korean-WoW)
Anyway I think only the localized versions should take longer (German,French,a third one I cant remmember), "international"-version doesnt need translating from american-english to british-english. (Cant see any gameplay/technical differences.
Final beta phase still hasnt started & that bugs me, but then again Blizzard might want to avoid the effects in US-WoW where people whine about the slighest bugs.
Will the euro version launch together with the chinese one?
I thought wow was already released in korea???
and what about japan? Square-Enix is gonna launch EQ2 in japan:/ wonder if it can kill FFXIs breath!
I too think that the forums are not the highlight of Blizzard's creation. If it were my choice, I'd only like to see the GMs post. That's all. But even then, GM posts can be just as bad...
