Hmm. That's a hard one. But probably from the Sioux. They became great plains nomads. And then fought admirably to continue their way of life. And kicked Custer ass at Little Bighorn.
I'm already part Apache. Not enough to be a tribe member though.

This post is confusing to me. I mean it is like asking which would you rather be, german, swiss, or britsh and why? I am Native American, maybe that is why it confuses me. LOL
Tragic story though, did everything they were told to. Built houses, converted to christianity, dressed in the right attire, helped whitey fight off their hostiles neighbors and the french. Yet still evicted and exterminated.
In a twist the only people who seemed to treat them decent (for the most part) was Congress and the Military. Certain individuial aspects of both aside.
A quote from one such evicted Native America
"It is with considerable diffidence that I attempt to address the American people, knowing and feeling sensibly my incompetency; and believing that your highly and well improved minds would not be well entertained by the address of a Choctaw. But having determined to emigrate west of the Mississippi river this fall, I have thought proper in bidding you farewell to make a few remarks expressive of my views, and the feelings that actuate me on the subject of our removal ... We as Choctaws rather chose to suffer and be free, than live under the degrading influence of laws, which our voice could not be heard in their formation."
To me it's like asking which country you'd want to be from or which African tribe you would want to be.
I'm Chippewa (mother's side) with another strong line in Cherokee (fathers.).
I'd say I'd rather be Chippewa than Cherokee since everyone and their mother claims that nation's bloodline (though most I have ever seen look to have nothing in their blood). It's where I got my "yellow skin" and "olive shaped" eyes from.
It's also been annoying when people think I am part Asian.
Funny thing is about blood lines. I've met those who consider themselves part <insert native nation> and claim a larger chunk of European/Eastern decent. I personally do the opposite. I consider my nation first, then the residual bloodlines from Europe second.
I'm rather proud that for just a moment our peoples managed to hold off an entire invading party (The Euro's) for just a time.
Well, I am Cheyenne, so, I suppose Cheyenne. On a side note, a Native American MMORPG would be very interesting. No Cowboys and Indians, but Native American Tribes. Crafting would be amazing!
I thought about this for so long man!
I don't think it'd have subscriber's like the traditional mmo, but imagine how awesome it would be.
Start in a tribe, some have hostilities , so on. If you went the fantasy route with it, imagine the legendary beasts you would have to fight!
Epic Sauce.
Agreed, even a arrow shaft would be neat to make. Boiling the shaft, straightening it, the fire hardening to make it hard as steel (nearly). Not to mention bead craft.
I don't think I could ever really answer a question like this. On one hand I don't know enough about a lot of the various tribes that once existed or exist in today's time. On the other it's like asking "would you rather want to be French, or British, or German?"... Just doesn't work for me. I like who I am, and I have plenty of ancestry to sift through and all kinds of weird things to dig up if I go back through my bloodline.
No required quests! And if I decide I want to be an assassin-cartographer-dancer-pastry chef who lives only to stalk and kill interior decorators, then that's who I want to be, even if it takes me four years to max all the skills and everyone else thinks I'm freaking nuts. -Madimorga-

Well, I sure as shit wouldn't want to be French. LOL :P
Anyways to answer the question I would want to be in the tribe that first met whiteys so I could kill them all off everytime they came to shore. Yeah, I'm white but I love alternate history books and have always wondered "What if the Indians won? What would the world be like then? Would it end the same, just later on in time?" Among other questions I have pondered.
And in case any of you knuckleheads missed it this is a joke post. But I do always have those questions rolling through my mind.
In America I have bad teeth. If I lived in England my teeth would be perfect.

I've always been intrigued by the Native American culture. But what I've found is that some of the tribes were more spiritual than others. The more spiritual tribes have been the ones that I've found myself focusing more on.
I love the nature based religions. I have no idea why, I just always have. They seem to have such a relaxing and soothing effect on me when I read about their beliefs and their old stories. Some of the greatest stories I've read have been Native American stories.
There was no fake or ulterior motives to the Native American religions. They were what they were. I think that's mostly because of the peace loving tribes.
I don't know, I was just thinking about it and wondering what you guys thought.
I personally have always loved the Hopi Tribe. I actually sort of envy them. I know their history, along with all the Native American's, is a horrible tragedy. But I hope that they realize how lucky they are to be who they are. They're heritage is so rich in creativity and focusing on what really matters in life.
Sometimes I want to be able to just leave modern civilization behind and pursue a life of just letting go. It's hard though, because I love science and technology. But the rat race, the meanness, the always competitive nature and need to out do others that permeates our culture is something I cannot stand.
Mohawk. Apparently they have some genetic disposition to having really really good balance. I've heard alot were employed in the high steel skyscraper construction in New York City and elsewhere, and were completely at home with the challenges and dangers involved.

The Mohicans.......then I could be the last of them and get all their stuff.

Native Americans aren't really a people I envy at this point, so probably none.
I love the history and stories behind Native Americans, but they weren't exactly treated well, and it's carried over.
Cherokee

I'm not sure what the reason behind this is.

May not of won, but we did well enough .

Yeah.
Now with 57.3% more flames!
Errr, okay, really wierd question but I'll bite.
