Quick question before I jump in..

in EVE Online

So I just picked up Eve (I tried the trial at least 10 times before) and I am a bit stumped. The character creation is a lot different from it used to be. I noticed that I am not able to distribute stats anymore, does that mean all races now have the same stats? If not, what would you recommend as one of the better pvp races?

    They did radically change the new character generation process, instead of picking stats via races you now train at 2 times the normal rate in the skills you want. (for a limited time)

    This guide will give you some good advice, however now it means you can be whatever race you chose with no real penalty.

    Ah, alright. So, to expand my question I guess, if I am looking to PvP, what skills should I be training?

    i would join a pirate corp for pvp

    Depending on what you want to fly

    1. Gunn skills all relevent skills to 4 or 5 Medium hybrids, lasers or projectiles depending on what you are going to fly.
    2. Shield or armour tanking skills, if you fly cadari shield Amarr armour both if you plan on going minmatar and gallante
    3. Ship skills, max out a frigate first then go for cruisers both to V then train assult frigs 4 and then heavy assult cruiser V
    4. Navigation skills
    5. Drone skills
    6. other suport skills, EM, Targeting, scanning etc

    while you are training this you should join EvE university, they teach you how to PVP...

    EVE uni teach you how to blob up. Not pvp. Agony teach you how to pvp.

     

    If you want to pvp, train propulsion jamming (you get it in the tutorial) and fit a warp disruptor to your ship, go lose 10 frigates in lowsec and you'll learn something, even if its just when not to fight. Learn to use the direction scanner and map filters to find people to shoot at.
