Is EQ2 Soloable?

I know that there was just a post on this,but the guy had only posted THAT thing, so i don't trust him. I want to know if someone who is a pure crafter is able to get to any crafting lvl he wants by only relying on himself (or NPC's). If i have to team with someone to get to the next lvl, then this game is not for me. But if it isnt as bad as i am thinking, then i wil still play it.
I play CoH, and around lvl 40 u have to team with people to finish certain missions, but u dont have to team with anyone to get to the next lvl (ie hunting)

It is, but past 15 or so you will get xp and better loot faster in groups.
In theory, you can craft level all the way to 50 and never venture outside of town, but in practice you will have to do some normal old mob killing xp, or you will end up paying a lot more than you neede to for raw materials.
