Nice trick to speed up CO patch.

I am using and been using Game booster 1.1 for PC speed and gaming only. What the power of this software does... is shut down all that stuff in the back ground to make your PC faster in every way possible. I just started this patch and is near 20% running on DLS. this software is free and come with updates if needed. If you want to get in CO faster I would go DL this off C-net or download.com

the speed has nothing to do client end. It's cryptics upload speed that is limiting the download.
The problem with this software as i have used it,is that it shuts down VERY little.The program itself also uses up resources,so the little it shuts down and reuses basically evens out,making the software kind of useless.I basically can do the same thing myself,i go into ctrl+alt+del and then end process on any 32exe i dont like ,example i end process on Punkbuster[half life],and sometimes my on flight mouse software maybe sometimes powerstrip or riva tuner,nothing much more in there to end process on.
For game booster to be of any use it needs to dig much deeper into the hundreds of Microsoft processes that do not need to be running.Vista is a real hog for system resources.
