Ok, I wasn't going to say anything, I have a lot of patience and all, always thinking "it will work out eventually"; but this is getting ridiculously frustrating.
To put it simply: I've been trying to connect ever since about 7 PM PST and, ever since that time, whenever I get to the patch window with the chick (sometimes it freezes or dies before that, but most of the time so far it gets to the chick), I put my username and password, ok and.....the thing doesn't move. And there's a message that says "No shards found". And I can't do squat.
ANYone has ANY idea on how to fix this? I'm already downloading the darned installer for the third time now, getting seriously tired and concerned that I might bust my monthly limit just trying to play this game.
Don't wanna be another one on the "Patchions Online is awesome", but I really hope that the game is good and the character creator is awesome, 'cus otherwise, I cannot see myself playing this unless they totally fix this issue like....tomorrow, 'cus I never seen a patcher problem take longer than that to be solved, and that's considering a third-partied company trying to patch a large (back then it was large) patch for about 5 million people at the same damn time....

It happens to everyone, there is no way around it. You just have to keep closing the client, wait a while and try again. It can be 5 mins until the patcher is up again or it can be an hour before the patcher is up again. Trust me in closed beta this happened alot.

Well, kinda nice to know it's not just me, I mean, since I didn't see anyone saying anything about this, I thought I was just on my end.
It does make me worried tho. Cryptic should've be able to make a better patcher/patching proccess...

it DOES say "server up" in the top right corner doenst it? ... and you HAVE registered your Beta key on the website right?

well ive been up n downstairs allnight babysittin it.. i goto 200megs DLed at 4am, lost connection.. reconnected.. only to find it hadnt actually saved and applied the fckin amount id DLed!!!!.. but its DLin at an "OK" rate now (if this was 10years ago)
Actually, I just re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-restarted it and now it says Server Down....
WHY DOES SHE KEEP LAUGHING AT ME???
EDIT: Ok, it just started downloading out of the blue now....yay go me I guess...
