A few questions about CO

YunbeiYunbei Member Posts: 898

I have played CO only a short time, a couple of days on a buddy's comp, so my impression is kinda limited. ;)  So I wanted to know from ppl who played the beta longer some stuff.

I seemed to solo most of the time. Even when I tried to find a group, it seemed few wanted to group. Now actually I don't like soloing much. Does this game get more group oriented later on?

When I teamed, I sorta missed the feeling of working together, like I experienced it in EQ2 or LOTRO. I enjoyed playing healers, but here I wasn't sure how to contribute or how others contributed. People fought alongside, ok, but I didn't really understand how characters are supposed to work as team. Can anyone explain me there general idea??

Also, in beta there was no servers, just... shards? WIll they have servers when the game goes live? I kinda felt lost always being in some anonymous shard No 87687 or what. It was something cool for me in MMOs to be part of server X with its community and whatnot. But maybe they don't expect enough ppl to open more than one server? :O

On a short note, while I loved the action, the world and graphics felt kinda underwhelming. Can't right pinpoint why. The characters and the city kinda lacked... well character. Maybe this cell shading was a bit too less detailled, I can't say, but it felt, well sorta like nothing to look at in awe, compared to the rich and detailled wolds like AoC or LOTRO have.

Oh, and I had lotsa trouble with those powers lol. Granted, I played it too little, but it looked very complicated, lol. I always had some power I could not use for some reason I didn't understand. *__*

More game play = more dissapointment.

Best thing to do is take what few good memories you had from your short play time and treasure them... and never play again.  That way, you always have something nice to say about CO!
