Some truth to that. Although with CO it is literaly the case. Only 5 zones, so you are forced to do the same missions over, plus, over half your combat time is spent spamming the END builder attack, and all END build attacks are the same exact thing, so you get even more 'sameness' when you make an alt.

There is the UNITY mission system. Its kinda like daily quests, but each day there will be 'hotspot' missions that you go to and complete an instance. You'll get five of those basic missions every day plus one 'special assignment' after you complete them. These missions scale to your group size at the thresholds of 3 and 5 players. They reward you with tokens that you can use to buy high end gear and single use keys to some of the game's group oriented 'Lairs'.
There are also a few wandering raid bosses that can take 20+ players to take down.
