One thing I havn't seen players talk about (and I couldn't find anything when I searched, so I apologize if it's out there), is the actual ingame performance. Does the game run smooth as butter? Seem to have lag even though you exceed the reccomended specs? These types of things always interest me. We all know how some games (AoC) had some serious performance issues at launch. I'm guessing that since I havn't heard anything, it must run fine, but I'm still curious.
Oh, and let's leave those patcher issues out of this topic alright? Go somewhere else if you plan to complain.

Yeah, sadly MMORPG usually brings out the "half empty" crowd. The launcher/ patcher problem was bad yesterday and fixed now. Odd thing is this never happened in CB at all that I can recall.
Gameplay: I am on a XPS M1730 lap top. It is one of the first ones so it has the older vid cards (8700m GTX in SLI) and is 2.4ghz core 2 duo with 4 gig ram. This game ran consistantly at 30+ FPS and I had very few stutters or banding problems. I had FRAPS running as well and was taking vids. I also had Twirl running, etc. All in all I would say it is fine and I have graphics turned up pretty high.
The only thing I can say is they do need a little more optimization but they also clearly state my vid drivers from Dell are outdated (there are no new ones though). I can run AOC full blast with higher frame rates which should not be the case but AOC spent a year fixing the game so I will give CO some time on that and see.
I personally like the comic cell shaded look too though some may be turned off by it.
Core Duo 6600 no OC
GeForce 8800 GTS 320mb
4GB Ram decent quality
7200RPM SATA Drives
Windows Vista
Running at 1920 x 1080
Opening video stuttered a bit, not enough to make it really unpleasant, but enough to notice it.
Didn't check the frame rates since I rarely care about things like that. If it's enough to look smooth I don't care if it's 20 or 100. The only point I saw any real performance hit was when I was doing the blocking tutorial and there was a slight hitch from when I talked to the guy and when I tried to block.
Movement seemed fluid enough, jumping was smooth. Scrolling was nice and quick. I didn't max everything out, but went with recomended settings for my resolution.
So I'd give it an ok. Nothing out of the ordinary, but certainly smooth enough to not be noticable.
My settings are close to bstripp and currently the in game performance is pretty on par with the amount of players we have in game. I get good enough FPS. Some items to know, if you have some problems with performance, remove post processing and it should help quite a bit.
It runs well at the recommended settings for me... though I cranked it to the max and it really does look beautiful.. but lags too much. Still the game itself is much more stable than the patch was @_@
I was surprised with this game actually. The performance is rock solid for me, and my rig is starting to get dated and I only have 2 gigs of RAM. I'm able to play it in ultra but not super fast FPs, but still stable.
My computer is 3 years old and it runs it fine. Hardly any lag at all.
