Making the graphics look good

The default graphics settings are terrible and can be improved a lot. Select Options and choose Video. Check the Advanced options box to open up the advanced options.
Turn off the Processing check box and turn up the detail settings and turn on anti-aliasing as well as anitropic filtering. If your performance is too slow, just turn down the settings on shadow and lighting. If you play with the settings you can get the graphics to look much much better then the default settings.

Yep, I completely agree the game can go from "meh" to "woah" as far as graphics. I like playing with the comicbook outline feature turned on. Everything just looks more... like it should.
