a few questions from a newb

CefkaCefka Member Posts: 92

I'm about to start playing the Open beta (currently downloading) and i'm gonna try to create a support type character, but I had some questions.

1) Can you have multiple Controlled pets?

2) Can they be from diffrent Power sets?

3) Are controlled pets permanent (until they die)?

4) Do buffs stack as much as in CoX?

5) Are the Aura buffs in Arcane toggled without a timer?

thanks

Engineer class makes pets, and pet types.

    1) Can you have multiple Controlled pets?

A: Unsure, I'm not the pet class, but I think I may have seen An engineer with 2 turrets.

    2) Can they be from diffrent Power sets?

A: Probably not at the same time.

    3) Are controlled pets permanent (until they die)?

A: Until they die or their usefulness becomes obsolete ie stationary pets you walk away from.

    4) Do buffs stack as much as in CoX?

A: Some buffs do stack, yes.

    5) Are the Aura buffs in Arcane toggled without a timer?

A: Damage based buffs are a trainable skill, and some stack to a limited amount of times become use.

    thanks

    1) Yes.  I have a gadgeteering guy.  He can call all of his "pets" at once.  Some sets have pets that are not controllable. (no commands such as passive, attack)

    2) I have not intermingled sets as of yet, but I would imagine that is possible.

    3) Yes.  Some require a summoning circle, in which you have to stay in the circle to maintain the pet.  Of course, the summoning circle pets are not controllable.

    4) Buffs do seem to stack, though I'm not sure to what extent.

    5) I'm not really sure of this one, maybe someone with more knowledge could answer this for you.

    Hope this helps a bit.

    1) Can you have multiple Controlled pets?

Yes you can, but only one pet control. They all are going to do the same. Im a gadgeteer with the 3 pet powers, nothing as been a small one man army at level 11.

    2) Can they be from diffrent Power sets?

Yes, but a bit hard to get the tier 3 power from 2 different power sets.

    3) Are controlled pets permanent (until they die)?

    Yes... and No.

Munitions bots, drones are permanent. Only 1 toy is permanent (I got up to 11 at the same time but they disapear :_( ). Sorcery circle pets (they can be controlled if you buy the advantaje) are permanents while you stay in the circle. Zombies only stay for a sort time.

    4) Do buffs stack as much as in CoX?

    No idea.

    5) Are the Aura buffs in Arcane toggled without a timer?

    No idea.
