Sometimes they have giveaways for just being logged into the game. A few weeks ago they had one, got a couple of them.
Sometimes they give you stuff for signing up to the newsletter. (I think sometimes blessing potions).
A few quests later on in the game will give you "mini-potions", good for 20 or 30 fights.
But generally, you do have to buy them from the item mall or market. In either case, it's generally a ripoff compared to a blessing license (which is good for 30 days).
From your point of view, i know that you are right regarding the rip-off. But from my point of view (a father and husband who has a merely 8-12 hours to play in a week), potions>license. A license is 280-350 mil on sykion and a potion 10-13 mil. For the money i would spend on a license i could have 1200-1600 blessed fights that i could turn on and off depending on the monsters i face (white, yellow, green).
Yeah, if you don't play much, clearly that's better. But even then it's kinda iffy on my server, BPs go for 20 million, BL is 270.
Which makes sense, in cash shop prices, 11 BPs = $10, 1 BL = $15. But if you use more than 15 a month (which is only 750 fights), then obviously the BL is the way to go.
Then again, if they are a lot cheaper on your server, clearly that's better...
Anyway, they are actually having one of those giveaways this coming weekend.
I agree that it would be better just to use potions instead of the license. hmm. i think aside from events, market, item mall, and not repeatable quests. there are no other ways to obtain it. im not that sure though.
Even if you play fairly casually, a BL is often the better value.
These days, I basically just do Indy dungeons. Doing 105 and 101 (first two floors) would take me about 2 hours and about 2 blessing potions (about 90 fights). Since I can only do that every other day, that would be 27-28 blessing potions (or $25 worth).
You'd have to be really, really casual for BPs to be the better deal, over the course of a month.
or play during the weekends for the exp bonus, if they only create a blessing potion that lasts for one day or increase the number of battle to 75 or 100

ya it's better to use the blessiang potion when you play casualy
using the license would be a waste since it counts the days (not the battles that of the potions)

Blessing potions are just a bad value though.

another ways is to wait for the item give away or loot it from monster invasions events ^^
