Info from MMOChampion confirming new race-class combos as well...
New Classes
Cataclysm doesn't introduce any new classes to the game. Instead, Blizzard have offered more race and classes combinations to players. The Some of these have alreadly been datamined from the 3.2.2 Test Realms. The An Injured Colleague quest and it's new Night Elf counter-part help to introduce the lore for these new race and class combinations, so we can probably expect to see more of these for some of the less traditional ones.
Human Hunter
Orc Mage
Night Elf Mage
Dwarf Mage
Blood Elf Warrior
Dwarf Shaman
Undead Hunter
Tauren Paladin
Tauren Priest
Gnome Priest
Troll Druid
Guess this explains the Tauren in T7 pally gear in the trailer.
I was going to start playing wow again but now that i know there are 2 new races i will not. Now all you are going to see is 90% of the games population running around as goblins or worgens.
O yea I forgot that same thing happened with Burning Crusade...O wait, no it didnt!
Kazzan, new islands, golbin and worgen starter areas, the expansion sounds like its gona be epic. They panel at the moment are talking about they are going OTT with this expansion, unlike anythign we saw with wotlk or before.
A lot of people wanted a return to Azeroth, i see no problem with them changing up Azeroth. I don't see this as taking an easy way out at all. Can't please everyone, i'm glad they do the best they can considering.
Atleast, it's going to be different for people who wants to reroll one of the new races.
Get a life you freaking Gamer.....no no, you don't understand, I'm a Gamer, I have many lives!!

O yea I forgot that same thing happened with the Burning Crusade.... on the 4 servers I played on... couldn't take 6 steps without tripping over a Blood Elf or Drenai.... so I guess it did!
EDIT - On a side note Noracon, I do not forsee that as entirely true. You will see 85% playing Worgen but only 5% playing Goblin.
Goblin is f*****g lame, but who wouldn't want to try a shapeshifting worgen as a player character. The cool factor is Alliance 1 million to Horde -shit.
Let me take a guess. There will be more levels, more new skills, perhaps a new class or two, and even more shiny new gear. But I think they might just do better.
Oh look its the egotistical, im a an EVE player, and im better than all players.
You mean I called it right? No, I missed it on the new classes, they added new races instead. (doesn't cause any balancing issues that way)
Novel idea, going back to the old world sounds like a good plan, no reason to keep expanding ever outward.
Jeez, you fans are so sensitive when someone pokes a little fun.
Enjoy your day in the sun.
Edit: Another prediction, targeted for release around Nov 2010? They probably won't really say, not their style.

I know they are changing areas and adjusting areas for different levels....but the newbie experience will probably be very similar to old...the impressions I got was the changed look and flying mounts will be after phased incidents. Like with Wotlk.....certain areas in DK quests....regular northrend quests...and e.g. the undercity betrayal where Verimathras is no longer present ...only after the battle for the undercity. Anyone confirm this? or are all the changes evident from level one for all players?....or maybe just goblin and worgen newbies?
I dont think the newbie experince will be the same, because they are talking about new quest hubs and zones being different.
example
"Darkshore is flooded and has been completely redesigned with all new quest hubs. The Barrens have been split in two; one half is for low-level players and the other is for higher-level players. Azshara is now a low-level zone for Horde players and connects directly to Orgrimmar."

The entire cataclysm is visible for all players, when the xpac goes live, everyone will see the change. The only thing you won't have access to is the stuff you specifically need the xpac to play (e.g. the new races, their starting areas etc.)
Let me take a guess. There will be more levels, more new skills, perhaps a new class or two, and even more shiny new gear. But I think they might just do better.
LOL. The same exact thing that EVE expansions have brought. Oh wait, skill points aren't levels, are they?

Ah...the differences are subtle, but significant. But this is not the thread for that discussion my friend, let's leave it to the WOW fans, its their day.

All zone change, even their lvl requirement, southshore is now a horde zone.. woot! Auderdin in darkshore destoryed woot! Good to know phasing is not being used to achieve this and it will be all change from lvl 1 for ALL players with and with out xpacs.
ah yeah Drakshore looks much better, like he said no more 20-30 mins runs lol for quests.
Well, I looked over their newly launched Cataclysm site, and I have to say I really like what I see.
The devil is in the details of course but at first glance it seems like they've learned some lessons and are going balls-out to regain the ground they've lost with WoTLK - they're not just rebooting the end-game, but the whole game it seems.

That is awesome then. Have a feeling this may produce quite a bit more bugs than normal..but i'll deal with it. Now maybe I will be more inclined to continue leveling all those alts I started up...and start a few more to boot. Overall...great frakkin news.

Oh look its a moron. Look dude, I have played WoW from release and have cleared all the new content and this is always how it gos I start up again clear all the content have all the best stuff and I quit. The guy has a very good point that is all blizzard does they release these expansions so fast its a fucking mind game they keep you addicted. PvP is a fucking joke, I seriously think they roll a dice to determine which class will blow balls in arena that month and which one will do best because thats always how it is and thats always how it will be. They'll promise change or promise nerfs but really they just go off on the outcrys of the community and play the cycle a nerf game. I actually enjoy WoW but what it has turned into just disgusts me.
Considering that this is World of Warcrafts 3rd expansion in 5 years compared to Everquests 16th in about 10 i'd say it's relativly quite slow at churning out xpacs. I do think that if they were releasing "these expansions so fast it's a fucking mind game they keep you addicted" that they would have more than just 2 out on the market with a 3rd on the way right now.

LOL. The same exact thing that EVE expansions have brought. Oh wait, skill points aren't levels, are they?
Guild talent tree
Guild lvl 1-20
atlast a reason to stay in even a bad guild
Path of the Titans sounds very very interesting, along with guild preks and advancement for sure, along with the mastery system.
