of course the fanbois aren't going to get banned. goes without saying. like i said, i expected a ban for being too honest. being honest got me flamed. meh.
nobody at that forum wants to hear how fixing the combat is going to be much more difficult than patching up a few animations - they'd have to rip their whole game engine out and start again. way too much hassle for them.
honesty in a beta *should* have been encouraged but it wasn't, and this is why the game is being released with these serious flaws.
Only those who very much overstep get banned. You did that. You know it. Don't downplay it.
You got exactly what you deserved.
Now you are simply continuing your epic saga of hate towards the game and people who actually happen to like it.
It must be a sad life for you and for that I am truly sorry. I hope you find the game you are looking for, but it won't be FE.
But on that note, thousands of people are currently enjoying the game and having a blast because they do get it. Sorry you don't.
I'd suggest you simply move on to a game more suited to your needs. It's the smart thing to do, though I doubt you'll do the smart thing. Hate is such a waste when you could go find love.
i don't know about you but i was there to beta test, and provide feedback. yet when i (and others) provided feedback that in any way didn't reflect the opinion of the fanbois, our views got slammed. now you guys only have yourselves to blame when the game releases and doesn't hit the mark.
i truly hope i don't ever have to experience another beta test as insular as this one was. this is one of the biggest mistakes a developer can make: letting rabid fanboism shut down feedback.
That's typical of any MMO forum. Try to say something bad about CO and the fans will be on you in droves too. AoC was even worse. Try to take it with a grain of salt. Most of these punks are full of a lot of hot air where their brains should be.
I think you are overreacting a bit, but if you found it personally threatening I would report it to one of the mods, and if that doesn't help try emailing the devs.
So while i knew it was coming.. what exactly was the post you made that got you banned?

yeah i know it's unlikely that they'd actually go ahead and post any address, it's just that they made that threat. it's taking things a bit too far.
also if they could claim they had some kind of address, they would have to have help from a corrupt admin, or be hacking the site.
In response to the OP, there are two sides to every story. Without knowing /anything/ about the issue at hand, let me point out a couple of things:
First is the screen name 'fapfapfap', which is not the sign of maturity that one might expect and probably more appropriate to a 13 year old boy with an anime fetish.
Secondly is the fact that 'fapfapfap' was banned once before. This is hardly what one would expect from someone who is 'reasonably' discussing the failings of a game. Especially when you come back under a different account to post. While one might argue that you were banned unjustly, I'm not so sure, coupled with the screen name, but again, I have no knowledge of any of the instances, other than what you've posted.
Third, Gabrielsend is hardly a representative of the FE community. Just as you are not a representative of the MMORPG site community. You are simply a poster here, just as he is. One can find people like him, and you, on every message board on the internet.
While the issue of him threatening to post RL information does show bad judgement on his hand, here you are trumpeting it up as something against FE. This behavior, in and among itself, simply lends more credence to the fact that you are young/immature. Adding to the fact the other stuff previously mentioned simply cements that fact.
As to defending FE, let's get one thing straight. It's a run of the mill MMO that gets quite repetitive pretty quickly, with a lot of 'kill X mobs and return', etc. Takes a lot of time to do anything and has a lot of travelling. Couple it with the interface and clunkiness of the UI and it simply makes it a mediocre game. It's alright, but it's not worth the $50 nor the $15/mo. at this point. In the future, who knows? So sorry to not fit into your 'fanboi' who doesn't agree with you. I just happen to be an normal person who thinks you're an idiot.

They're out to get her and threaten to post her personal information on the Web. And to make matters worse, there's a -- what? -- question that maybe a corrupt admin could be part of this? Oh my God! Oh man... you know, I almost belived you. Guess what? I´ve looked in to *your* posts, and found out that you actually were a fan of this game yourself (posts>500). I really do not know why you´ve got a banned, but as soon as I have looked on your first comments that came up in the forum, I´ve already found two comments, where you suggest other ppl to leave Fallen Earth and go elsewhere, or explaining, why releasing Fallen Earth should be illegal... Please, be reasonable. Let it be.

threatening to post a home address is a threat. it's illegal = cyberstalking. i don't think even the admin of FE would want to be associated with threats of this nature. once my temp-ban wears off

I am Tiggs, the Community Director over at Fallen Earth. I've been following this thread and wanted to clear up a bit of confusion. We would NEVER give out the personal information of anyone who signs up on our forums or for our game. The post you folks were looking at was not made by anyone formerly of our presently a member of the Dev team or employed in any way shape or form by Fallen Earth.
I also am not at liberty to discuss forum actions against any of our forum members or players. However, I will say that we are very fair on our forums. If someone violates our rules which are clearly outlined on every forum we will action them. If they get enough of warnings it will lead to a temp ban and in some cases a perma ban (depends on the severity). Fan-boi's or not if they break the rules they will get actioned. Also, I would like to add in that with the work we do in a day, we do not have time to keep track of who is a fan-boi and who is a troll. We take each post that is actioned and look at the thread to make our decision on the course of action.
Now, there are many times that we post on heated discussions asking everyone to calm down and stay away from personal attacks. The one thread was no exception that Kalista pointed out. It was getting heated and needed to be either shut down or just pointed back in the right direction. There is a point in every heated discussion where people need to just realize no one is going to agree and it is ok to agree to disagree.
I hope this clears up some confusion and I will head on back to my forums now. If anyone has any further questions you can feel free to email me and I will do my best to answer them.

To the OP: grow some balls, woman.
wow, he shows a screenshot of a post made by a new user(registered in july, 8 posts) and people are talking about how it shows that fallen earth is a sinking ship or whatever. If that is the case, tehre are some games I would love to turn into sinking ships by registering a new account and posting 8 stupid messages, rofl.
Locking this thread for 2 reasons.
1. Thread title is miss leading it makes out that the devs or a staff member is making a threat.
2. The random user was not even saying he or they was going to post your address.
