While I have both 80s in alliance and horde, I have never rolled a dranei past 13. I cant stand the race. I rolled a BE because it was a new race and I wanted to experience it. I noticed that a large amount of players rerolled horde or atleast tried a BE alt when TBC came out. Now, I feel that alliance has the upper hand and a large amount of players that are interested in rerolling, trying a new race will be interested in Worgen. What do you think?
I am a mainly alliance player anyway, so it would have to be worgen for me if i rolled one, although i will probably play both of the starter areas at least just for the experience. I have a couple of Horde 80's, but i have never really enjoyed them that much, but who knows, maybe the Goblins and the cataclysm changes could move me across to the dark side ;-)
It must be Thursday, i never could get the hang of Thursdays.
Horde is not the dark side, actually we are the good guys, it is you alliance scum who are the parasites of Azeroth, and if i ever see any of you around my beloved Undercity i will kick your f******g but back to smelling Stormwind..

WoW being ARAC and needing more than just two main factions is long overdue.
1-60 will be like a new experience so that makes re-rolling very attractive and not just the same old. I was dead set on worgen-hunter but I have never played horde passed the barrans in the past and golbin-hunter is growing on me.
I really cannot decide, i guess ill roll both and play 1-15 and decide.
Worgen racial:
Can choose to be in human or worgan form when out of combat.
+1% damage
-15% duration on DoTs
Skin without needing a knife
+70% run speed for 6 seconds
Goblin racial:
Always receive the best possible gold discount, regardless of faction.
Alchemy skill increased by 15 and increased health/mana returns from potions you've made.
Instant, 30-minute cooldown -- Calls in your personal servant, allowing you bank access for 1 minute.
Launches your belt rockets at an enemy, dealing 30 fire damage. Shares a cooldown with Rocket Jump.
Activates your rocket belt to jump forward. Shares a cooldown with Rocket Barrage.
Cash in on a 1% increase to attack and casting speed
Don't worry they are improving racial for older races too.
Have they said what will happen to the neutral Goblin cities? Figure with them redoing other content, the Worgen quests are gone or tweaked or whatev.
The horde goblins are a different tribe, the goblins currently in the game will remain neutral.
BACKSTORY
The playable race is a group of Goblins based on the Isle of Kezan, a new zone between the Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor. While Goblins and the neutral Goblin trade organizations as a whole originate here, the official site and trailer both hint that the playable group has had (or is that, will have?) a recent and deeply unpleasant encounter with the Alliance that makes the Horde a logical choice when the time comes to pick sides. From the trailer, it would appear that much of the Goblins' starting zone is taken up by the eponymous cataclysm, the need to get away from the destruction, and their induction into the Horde, but we don't have too many details on it yet.
The playable Goblins won't be formally associated with any of the neutral Goblin trading organizations we already know and love (figuratively speaking, of course; the Steamwheedle Cartel's been bilking us for years). There's also no mention so far of the other Goblins going anywhere, so I'm assuming that the game's preexisting Goblins will remain in the game in whatever capacity they can post-cataclysm, and the Horde Goblins are a faction unto themselves named the Bilgewater Cartel.

Who says there isn't enough conflict between horde and alliance these days ;-)

First a thank you to coffee for the info on the Goblins. Things like that have always left me wondering about there only being two playable factions and how some of the decisions have been made in regards to which race is on which side.
In regards to what Jason said, that has always been the curious thing about WoW since the start - since as a whole, the Alliance and Horde are not at war. There are factions within the Alliance and the Horde at war with each other, but as a whole - the big guys on each side have teamed up against greater threats.
Then again, that just ties in with the thoughts on wondering about why it has always just been two playable factions (even though it started with the whole Warcraft Humans and Orcs thing).
Worgen druid for me! They just seem to be a perfect fit for Druids of The Claw! Dog against cats now! It's on and popin!
That's rather interesting actually, especially after seeing that many share that opinion. Although, you can't really say that Worgen aka. people of Gilneas have much to do with nature and harmony thing (if anything, they strike me as the most... renaissance/victorian-like Human empire of them all, based on what I've seen from the trailer, with their grim cities and cilinder hats, lets not forget cilinder hats).
But hey, at least another Druid race from the Alliance so all's good.
Civilized men are more discourteous than savages because they know they can be impolite without having their skulls split, as a general thing.
If there is a goblin race in a game, I just have to roll them... Nothing I can do about it, I just love those little rascals I even played WAR for the goblins... If EVE had goblins (hahah, that'd be the day) I'd roll one! Who knows, this just might make me play Cataclysm for a couple of months.
I think it sucks that the Alliance is getting the awesome Worgen and the Horde gets a Goblin. I only play Horde as that's what the real game is all about and I can't really relate to all the young kids on the Alliance. The Alliance may only have the upper hand in numbers but not shear ruthlessness. Rediculous, having to pay another $40 to play a goblin, lol. Come on Blizz you can do better than that!! And when the hell are they gonna come out with a Starcraft MMo? Blessed Be to you all and I wish you all the best of fortunes!! Now sssshhhhhhh this will only take a moment while I consume your soul.
