Where is WoW expansion 3 and 4? Assuming you meant that WoW Expansion 5 is actually 3, then I think that is was off. I would bet it is at the end of 2010. New IP MMO I would say in 2011 or 2012.
I say 2013 for the new IP because by then all the StarCraft boxes will have been released and most likely a Diablo Expansion as well as 2 WoW expansions including Cataclysm will have been released. It is the magic year that the slate becomes clean.

Yea most likely we will be getting news about the new MMO next year, and i would call it another year in the making.
I think we will hear about it at BlizzCon 2010 but I don't think it will launch until 2013.
2013 for new MMO seems reasonable but dont be surprised if it slips to 2014 or even 2015.
WoW was in development about 6 years so expect a similar amount of development time for their next MMO.
All the other dates are sound.
2020 for the new IP. Blizzard is moving so slowly now it's a wonder they function at all.
2013 for it to be announced at the earliest.
WOW Cataclysm coming in 2nd half 2010 sort of defeats the point. This game is in need of an expansion NOW, and I would be surprised if we did not see one before the end of the year.
I have a theory (pure speculation, ofc) that Cataclysm will come in early 2010; like January or February.
Considering that it's equal parts max-level expansion and low-level NGE; I could see Blizzard wanting to release it in a time without a directly competitive contender. The idea would be to release in a time when the honeymoon period has ended for games like Aion/CO and people are starting to get bored with the only really interesting release (SW:TOR) likely to be 6-8 months away.
If Blizzard release Cataclysm them (and it doesn't suck) then it would be an ideal time to catch all these "meh" gamers and get them interested/invested in the "new WoW" by giving them the chance to see what new features Blizzard have incorporated without making them level a character through ~70 levels of (let's face it) dull and unimaginative "kill 10 boars" content.
As someone who is very much looking forward to Cat; I'd still have to say that if Blizzard released it in late 2010 in direct competition with TOR, then even with the interesting NGE, WoW wouldn't get a look in unless (or until?) I got bored with Biowares offering which, knowing them, would be a pretty long time.

I was under the impressions WoW's new expansion was later this year? I mean do they usually make a press release and release all the details of it one year in advance?
Yeah, pretty much. WotLK was announced at Blizzcon in August 2007 and released November 2008; Burning Crusade was announced in October 2005 and released January 2007, so the smart money says that Cataclysm will probably be a winter 2010 release.

I think with wow it will go along the lines of
3.3 - October/November
3.4 - Jan/Feb - start of the events leading to cataclysm
4.0 - March/April - Cataclysm
They will then release information about the next expac at the next big event maybe the internation invitational... and that will be release 2011 towards the end of the year.
