so i pre purchased this game from ncsoft. im downloading it now & its downloading it at 24kb/sec. is it really that slow or am i doing something wrong?
Are you using the NCSoft Launcher to download the game?
That's what I used and I was getting 600-800kbps. This was quite a long time ago though. It could be they are running minimal servers right now while getting ready for the open beta.

When I downloaded the NCsoft's Download Manager. I got a 85kbs to 130kbs. Which is great with my 1mb connection. Although for some people its slow. I think its the location.
But don't worry with NCsofts DOwnload Manager because it saves your files download where you left off if you want to turn off your pc.
When I was downloading the game I started off with a 50-150 kbs speed but when I hit 11:00 / 12:00 pm (GMT) I hit 1000-1100. Anyone know why it shot up so much?

ya its the launcher that pops up & has a bunch of other games on it too. is there a mirror that i can use somewhere maybe?
You can use the Fileplanet download.

If you are downloading with the launcher, and you don't have large download bar, you are downloading in trickle mode.
From the launcher right click on Aion and hit check for updates and it will do the full download speed.
Alternately you can just launch Aion from the Start Menu/Desktop shortcut.
it doesnt give me an option to update game when i right click. says properties or install game
