I am very interested in Aion, but am a person who prefers PvE over PvP. Will I be able to not have to do much PvP to enjoy the PvE part of this and is there enough PvE to keep it interesting to develope my character. I am a casual gamer with limited time and would like to get an idea what the community opion is on Aion's PvE system.

Well from lvl 20 to lvl 50 you will have quest in the abyss and PVP area. There's no way to escape it in the game...

There's no doubt, you will get some pvp, but if you aren't looking for it, there's lots of other things to do. In Korea, they're pve crazy, fighting bosses and doing elite dungeons at end game.
Thanks for the input. I think that the community makes a big difference in any gaming experience, pvp or pve, and so far this seems to be a good community environment.

It's your choice...kinda.
You see, most people have a choice as to what it is they want to do with their time. There's monsters and instances out the ass everywhere and there's a huge number of quests throughout Atreia, but there will be times you're forced to defend yourself. There's quests in the Abyss, and things like the Dreadgion are 6man instances where you'll come accross the opposing faction quite often along the way. One of the things to more "force" you into the game is rift PvP. There are places, such as Eltene, that have rifts in them that allow the opposing faction to come over and gank you or do whatever, in these cases you can't simply go about your business, is a time for you to grow great rage, join an alliance party, and help them clear out the masses so you can finally quest in peace....for now muahahahhaaa *cough* but I digress. You will have your fair share of PvE, but considering this game's basis and build, that will not ever be the case always.

Aion is a good game for everyone who is not part of the extremes. If you want a game of pure PvP... Aion won't be for you. If you want a game of pure PvE... Aion won't be for you. Thats what the concept of PvPvE means.
QFE! Really great post that sums up the game's concept nicely. There has been a ton of arguments on various forums on this subject.
