thinking of getting this game need some info please
well i like pvp but i dont want some level 50 guy comeing up to me out of no were and pwn me just becouse he hase a bad day haha. is there away not to pvp until you get some good levels on ya. how are peopel are they nice, cool,not asshholes. i dont mind grouping no big deal to me really. but what level can i solo up to. i know i want ot be a elf. i dont know when i can get the game but i am hopeing soon hehe< getting pissed of at WOW for haveing to many little kids on there. really i can tell you story about that but that would have to be on a diff bored hehe> so is this game for me. and dont just say no. give a very good resson i am getting tired of all this bs. i needa good game and stick with it hehe. thanks for the info

There are always going to be amphibians, fishes, bears, birds, airborne germs, etc. The harder you try to stay away from them, the harder they will try to get you.
The harder you try to purge them, the harder they will respawn. The more you hate them, the more you will learn to love them. The more you become vocal about falling into slum, the more people will be willing to rescue you out of the slum in silence.
The more diverse the animal farm, the more I call it home.
You should see some large clan PvP war videoclip of this game if you wanna check what the end game looks like - not the official cinematics but actual gameplay sequence - it's insane.
i want ot know whatgoes on when you die. can people just loot you out of no were. how much exp do you lose. and if you die far away how hard is it to find your body. and i hope you cant lose any levels for dieing that would really really sucks bad. is it easy for a new person to level up make some friends and stuff like that. and were can i see these video clips. i really looking to be a high elf. and i have been haering about this its better to buy armor and crap off of ebay. do i really have to do that kind of stuff. if so then i wont be getting the game. like if i can make the money on my won with out getting on ebay then iwill get this game. i just want to know what is up wit hthis ebay stuff. and how do you move in this game. i dont mind if it arrow keys or wasd keys, i hope we have have to move with a mouse.

Here is how it's all laid out:
Keep in mind that L2 is completely open PvP game meaning you are free to attack anybody, anywhere - except inside town districts, any moment and by any means. It's all upto you to judge what might be consequencial of your indiscriminate or discriminate act.
Now this alone means that every high level predators will go gank on lower level sheeps as one might be led to believe. Hard case isn't it?
The fact of matter is if you were to choose that examplary pilgrim's path, you should also prepare for long trail of "red" bounty hunters with gory eyeballs searching for your presence.
This cannot be allowed if the pilgrim wasn't still convinced of his deed, chose the bloody pilgrim's path anyway, was allowed to lay down in peace and subsequently respawn in nearby town without any risk of losing his possession. Right? Since it would be an injustice if that was the case.
So there you go the rule:
1. You end up killing innocent (white) sheeps who didn't attack back for a given period of time, you go red - you become the pilgrim with certain karma. To go back to "sheep", you have to reduce the karma back to zero by killing mob of level equal or greater than your current level.
2. Some bounty hunters decide that they got bored with mob and decide to chase after you (red) and you end up slaughtered on ground. The outcome is you automaticallly respawn in nearby town and have greater chance to lose random items than when you were "white" - Yes even "white" has chance to drop items when he dies otherwise there wouldn't be reason for anyone to go PvP at the expense of the risk of becoming red in the first place.
3. In addition to chance of losing items, you also lose experience when you die (5% drop before lvl 40ish, 2% afterwards, or something like that) either by mob or by real players.
4. During arena battle, there is no exp nor item drop.
5. During castle siege, there is very slight exp drop but no item drop when you die.
6. You don't gain karma by killing "red".

Well that's entirely up to you. Finding friends is a given if you start interacting with others for party hunting or for trade.

Well NC doesn't condone this kind of activity. But in real world, there is only so much that you can do about it.
is there alot of people what will go up to a lower level and kill then.i dont want it to be like everytime they see me i get killed hehe.and how is the soloing part. i am really looking at the game know and for x-mas i want it so bad. but i dont want it to turn our like alot of the games i have played. oh and ya i do alot of talking in games make mad friends and join guilds so that spot is coverd hehe. oh and is there away to find my body if i die. say i was like walking into a forest and some bear just comes out and pwns me .
and what are the controls for the game. like do i move with wasd,arrow keys,mouse
like some games i play you have ot move with a mouse i did not like that. i hope in this game its wasd or arrow keys

l2orphus is a lame site I always avoid. they promote buying of adena with real money. Plus the forums are full of kids bashing each other.

This game is absolutly great, i love it. Money is fairly hard to make but if you stick at it you can get as rich as you want, i paly a dwarf so im ok anyway hehe.
Just get the game, you wont regret it.

All I can give is my personal experience. Take it with a grain of salt.
I bought the game when it came out and had high expectations. Unfortunatly, I quickly found that this game isn't for me. I was never able to level because people were constantly attacking me out of nowhere. It really got frustrating. I rarely had a chance to fight back or even run as most people were many many levels above me and would kill me in one or two hits. The sad thing is; it wasn't the same people doing it. There was always some new jackwad looking for easy pickins'. I canceled my subscription and removed the game from my hard drive shortly after.
This wasn't the only reason I left but it was the main one. I don't mind PvP but this is ridiculous. Too many jerk kids killing low levels just for kicks.
Keep in mind that this was back when the game was first released. for all I know there could have been a patch that made attacking someone for no reason more of a serious offense. Maybe the community has even matured a little. Who knows
IMO, this is the worst MMO out there and I've played all the big ones. I'd happily play Shadowbane for a year before I'd go back to L2 for a month. And Shadowbane sucks.

Just cos you dont like it doesnt mean he wont and no their is nearly no lag, not for me anyways. Try the game atleast, i was also unsure weather or not to get it due to posts like this being made, i thought to myself well just cos they dont like it doesnt mean i wont and guess what i love it.

Yuh. The funny thing is, that the pretty graphics last a week or two, and during that time you're pretty much blind to all the flaws the L2 game design. After you notice that for instance the terrain is nothing special and all the pretty graphics are in characters and monsters and there's a very limited amount of those, too - you have time to start wondering where the game part should be. And you'll only find the xp grind and ebay adena farmers plus some trinkets that were added into into the game to entertain kids.
Basically, if it was possible, I'd be demanding my money back for sub-quality product and misleading advertisement.
Hinde is probably the least populated server.
Since you are from England i guess, choose Teon because alot of the players are from Europe
