Not at the moment. Alot of people have been suggesting a way to skip it after you get atleast 1 character far enough. I'm hoping that through content releases like we've seen with other games they'll add new starting areas. Pretty much whats in OB is whats going ot be at launch.
really it isn't that big a deal. The first area takes about 10-15 minutes and the second area maybe 20-30 although with the current huge nerf to xp getting through the second area too fast might not be good. I got into the main area and was lvl 6. fortunately I turned in a quest and dinged to lvl 7 or I might not have had any quests I could do... Grinding xp is pointless at this time. At lvl 7 killing lvl 9 henchmen I was getting around 10xp per kill and considering I needed something like 5000xp that was gonna be a pretty long grind.
Hopefully they will adjust this some again. If not you are gonna want to camp the open quests they give good xp at least till they nerf that too. I don't think they will leave it like that this game is definitely not something people are gonna want to have to grind mobs to level.

Kk, ty. Cause for me having TONS of fun making chars, not so much fun actually starting them after the first 3 or 4. Maybe they'll sell the char creator as a standalone app

I dont want to really have to grind mobs at all either..so at first we leveled to fast..now not fast enough..if they really are testing it like they say then hopefully they'll shoot for somewhere inbetween now and leave it alone. Personally I'm more of the type that'd prefer to get my xp from quests and not mobs.

Skipping it will be a welcome addition to champions. However I doubt they will do this until at least 1 month after release
