So my boyfriend and I are back in the WoW universe trying things out again. I think it's pretty interesting and I had a good time. But holy crap! I chose to be a Night Elf and as soon as I logged in, BAM!
"wanna have sex with me"

"wanna have sex with me"
And plenty of almost naked characters grinding around dancing. I don't remember that happening the first time I tried this game like two months ago, I really don't. It irritated my boyfriend who said that he didn't have that problem on his Human character and another player was irritated with it, too. I actually had a hard time finding my boyfriend in all the mess, it was that bad. What the heck is up with all that? O_O

Was it a RP server?
a) It's server dependant. When a while ago I joined an UK server where a friend was playing, I was shocked how many insults where flying around there. I had never experienced this in such extremes on a german server.
b) It's faction dependant. Even with bloodelves, alliance seems to have a younger average age, meaning there is more puberty there and more behaviour fitting to that.
c) It's race dependant. Many people play nightelves just because they want to stare at that polgyon-body. They're driven by their primal testosteron puberty instincts.
Now combine it. If you are on the wrong server, choosing the (in matters of this topic) "wrong" faction and the "wrong" race, then what do you expect?

How would I know what's "wrong". It's just a game...
And no, I wasn't on an RP server, I avoid that.
This is why i stay far away from RP servers.....I played on Lightbringer, TH, Bronzebeard (as you can see they are PVP/E servers) and did not have this childish problem.
Word of advice......change to another realm that is not RP....
They said they are NOT on an RP server..
I agree with the above poster, it depends on what server you are on, I have none of the problems you are mentioning on my server.

You have this on every server type... the mental age of WoWs customer base has diminished over the last 5 years. You just have to ignore it, leave General and Trade and listen to Guild chat only... unless your guild is bad too then you leave that also.

But different types of people are drawn to different aspects of the game. And as such certain areas of the game where certain people accumulate feature a certain atmosphere.
For example, I'd ten times over go into a dungeon with a group consisting of female dwarves or female tauren, compared to a group consisting of nightelves of bloodelves, simply because, according to my experience, the former ones are in general more mature. As said, it's just my personal experience that might be wrong or not but gave me that impression, and there are of course exceptions.

Do what I did: find a new game.
WoW was awesome 5yrs ago, but there are much better games out now.
This was almost the first thing i saw on day 1 of release.There was like 50 or so players romping around half naked in a circle yelling choo choo,it was down right pathetic and embarrassing that i was there.
Quit the game the next day.
I go back a couple years later,god knows why,what do i get some little kid begging me non stop to PVP him,i was on a PVE server[of course],he followed me around for like an hour constantly bugging me finally i logged out and again not to return.
Third and probably final time,just to see what kind of advancements the WOW game has taken over the last years and what do i see?haha nope ,not this time,because the darn server was dead ,deader than door nails.I hung around for about 5 days saw a total of 3 players,really sad server considering Blizzard claims 11 million lol.I can't remeber the exact wording but i pick servers that are usually shown as average,so go figure the server was that dead.
You know wha tis really sad,i really pay attention to chat in other games,and these same immature type of people come from wow and infest other games as well.People of course ALWAYS yell back at them ,telling them to go back to wow,this is when they respond ,that they will because WOW is the best.This is how i know they are former WOW players.
The drama and childishness in that game is just over whelming,they got 3 things going for them...
The MOST subs
The cheapest game engine
The most immature players

Oh I wasn't saying that you were, just that I've spent only a small portion of time in-game and didn't think there was anything to be avoided save for the RP servers. I was on...Winterhoof is it? Unless I'm mistaken, that's not an RP server. When I looked at the list of available servers, I saw one and the rest seemed to be RP servers or something so that's where I went. I won't claim to know much about WoW yet though so that could be one of the "wrong" servers for all I know. XD
