Hello,
Is it me or have people not been able to play all day?
I can't for the life of me get in today, gets really far and then kicks me out with 1 problem or another, i managed to log in once.
My friend could not get in either and the main site has been down all day.

I believe OB ended last night.

Same problem. I read somewhere they extended the Open Beta but i cant log in either.
ya i think it might have ended too, i know when i was playing yesterday, a admin was on, pretending to be Dr. Destroyer, which wasn't very impressive, as it kept stating admin when he typed. i was hoping they were going to keep beta going a little bit more, yesterdays patch did a lot to improve the performance, a lot of us were having issues with. though, for me personally, it went from unplayable in canada, to just playable.
Great, well i guess i will wait and see what happens, it was unplayable for me to so i'm hoping that it's fixed now.
Brothers computer works fine though, very odd.
Check the front page of the official website; it states the following:
Oh no! The Destroids are attacking Millennium City! Gather as many Champions as you can and join the fight throughout the city. From 10AM – 11:59PM PDT on August 24th - 10AM August 24th - 5PM August 25th, waves of Destroid robots will be attacking heroes throughout Millennium City. Mega-Destroids will also be causing mayhem and destruction throughout the city, so team up with as many other players as possible to try and take down these massive robots. You might even find some Destroyer clones appearing and utterly decimating your puny heroes. Can you survive?
I was able to access the official forums for a few minutes before they were taken offline again, and it seems as if everyone is having trouble with the authentication server.

The website isnt' having issues its scheduled maintance. They posted it would be down some today last night giving fair warning that forum / website access would be unavailable during the scheduled maintance.

Apparently you lack reading comprehension or you're referring to a post that was made exclusively on the forums, which are currently down, so I can't see it (another maintenance announcement, if one exists) since the last time I was able to access the forums was yesterday during the event (not the end of the event, mind you, as I was actually in the game at time). Website/forum access has been intermittent today rather than being down for only the duration of the scheduled maintenance, but I shouldn't have to explain that. Besides, even if the announcement that the forums will be down was made only on the forums, isn't that both illogical and redundant? The announcement should have been main on the main website so that people who weren't able to access the forums last night would check the site and see that they are down.
Furthermore, the official website states the following:
On Monday, August 25 from 1:00 a.m. to 2:30 a.m. PDT, we will be performing scheduled maintenance on the Cryptic Account system. Creating new accounts may be down during this time.
During this time you may not be able to create any new accounts on any Cryptic web site; this would include the Champions Online and Star Trek Online official web sites. The game forums will not be affected, and will remain available during this time.
According to my clock, that maintenance should have expired nearly six hours ago. What part of that don't you understand?

Did anyone else notice that the announcements reads "Monday, August 25"? What a significant error to make -- on the front page no less.
i am patchin second time today that client atm and logged in next to mega :P
Good call, i'd stopped trying the client as i kept getting unable to authenticate, now it's patching. Hopefully they bring the server back online again soon.
In fact, the server is back up. I just loaded in.
The forums are back up as well.
