unfortunately it doesn't contain any of the goodies....the only way to get those is to do the direct to drive thing (yuk)

I remember there being a stink about someone offering pre-order before there was even a release date mentioned, was that Gamestop?

There is a solid release date though...9/15/09.  I guess it's too close now for anyone else to be offering the pre-release stuff.  I wanted to get in the head start AND have a hard copy of the game...guess that's a pipe dream now.

wow, I thought it was great.  It's now your cookie cutter MMO and will serve a niche audience....I guess I must fall within that niche.

While I respect you opinion, I'll agree to disagree. I thought the gameplay was clunky, the vehicle physics were awful, and the graphics reminded me of something not as good as half-life 1(released in 1998).

i was just asking about this on the official forums. So far I haven't heard anything direct from Icarus themselves. But the general consensus is if you want all the goodies you are going to have to go Direct 2 Drive.

I've personally never used Direct 2 Drive before, so I was curious, if anyone here has used it before. For example, if I have to wipe my HD clean, can I re-download the game from them or do I have to pay again?

I also thought it was terrible in every aspect, I was so excited to play this and once again major let down

Hey Enzyme, I bought once from D2D and yeah it lets you redownload a game you bought in the past. You have an account and it keeps records of your purchases. At least it did for me, when I bought the game, I redownloaded it 3 times.

But I always recommend to copy games you download on a DVD, because always haing to download 4-5 gigs is a pain especially when you feel like playing a game right away :)

    Peace
