    That's too funny, because it's the same for me at all max settings.  Not one bit of lag.  if people are experiencing lag then they need to adjust their settings or get off Windows Vista and download Windows 7 Release Candidate.  I actually had some bad 5-15 second lag spikes probably 5-7 times an hour before i switched to Windows 7.  Now not a darn thing.  I almost quit this beautiful because of it before i decided to test out my windows 7 installation disk.  Boy am I glad I did, it is a huge difference.

    Question: Can you see weather in Windows 7 too?  I'll definitely will be switching anyway =)

    It seems there are many people that are experiencing a huge performance boost with Windows 7.  I was going to try the release candidate, but now I'll probably just wait for the retail version this fall.  But I have heard the same, Windows 7 basically eliminates any lag or hitching that remained in this game.

    New to the game here, am using windows 7 and a PC that was high spec 12 months ago. I'm getting hitching and the like, even on high performance graphic settings, it's a shame as it will probably cause me to unsub. I also don't get on well with the invisible chunk boundaries, it's nice to have a seamless world, but with the pauses I get when crossing these boundaries, frankly I'd rather have old fashioned zones.

    mm im not sure about vg but if its like eq2 be conservative on graphic setting soe games tend to be made for a span of 10 years so the max setting will prob be playable in 6 year ,stay close to balanced an up grahic setting slowly(gcard maker remooved the low hrz setting so you cant go lower then 60 intead of 30 like we could on old pentium 3 ahh the good old days ,it was a nice trick ps3 use that trick to get better look i thin they set it at 35 hertz

    ps:and try to find if you can use anti-aliasing  and the other ,cause on eq2 you have to shut those of ,thats what soe ask,did that and game work nice.so try to find the info on vg site(might have to search a bit)

    do you have an nvidia card? If so;

    go to the nvidia control panel and under "manage 3d settings" you will see options for global and program settings. Add Vanguard under the program settings tab.

    Then scroll down until you see multi-display/mixed-gpu acceleration. Change that to single. there should be an option right above that for maximum pre-rendered frames. Change to 6.

    Then scroll down and you will find an option for threaded optimization. Set to on. See if that helps.

    If you have a diciple then you automatically create lag. silius is tweaking skills so its a non issue. the video is really pretty, reminds me of the days back when I did meth.

    Hell to the NO to RMT!!

    played Vanguard when I was stil using Vista. Thought it was a great game, lots of good concepts, especially the crafting and diplomacy.  Do weather effects show up with Windows 7  because I could never get the weather effects to work with Vista.  But I may try it again if there is a large performance increase with Win 7.

    I've also heard Windows 7 does wonders for Vanguard, but I have not heard about the weather effects.
