check your drive for fat32 or NTFS, this is the #1 reason for getting that error, if it is fat32 you need to do a drive update to NTFS and it should fix your problem.

goto my computer, right click and goto properties, on the general tab, look at file type.

    hope that helps

K I just checked and found that My C drive is a fat32, so does that mean I have to completely get a new hardware driver or its just a software update?

looking online, it just says that I can go to commander and convert my C drive from fat32 to ntfs...without any data loss...is this true or this is pretty dangerous?

back up any important information or files before you do it -

You can convert from FAT32 to NTFS reasonably safely but as advised always be sure you have anything important backed up. The other thing to know is that you can not convert back from NTFS to FAT32 though NTFS is much better and more reliable than FAT32 so there isn't really any reason to use FAT32 to begin with.

The open beta didn't work very well for Champions Online...

The client is available through a number of distributors and methods. You can grab it over at FilePlanet, or later this week at GamersHell. Also, NCsoft has made available a torrent download and patch for those interested in going the P2P (peer to peer!) route.

What is meant with a Peer to Peer route?  O_O

At the moment i am such frustrated and annoyed. I was in closed beta and downloads were made fairly easy and fast. Now downloading this open beta from these various links posted actually only causes me problems. Whatever i do (for hours), i keep getting failure messages or for example at the end that i cannot extract because same file is running already, which is not possible. Sad times.

One would think that something like a download would be developped and released in a more customer friendly way.

For now, it seems as if i simply cant be in open beta because of the above, unless someone would be able and kind enough to help me with.

I  could figure it  out now. Had to get BitTorrent for opening up that OB/CB torrent and now it's downloading smoothly while i am at work.  :D  Yay!
