Soloing in Aion

ryan6957ryan6957 Member Posts: 2

Hello,

From what I have read , the earlier levels are all easily soloable but I was wondering if you can solo all the way to max level.  I dont mind grouping at later levels but when working my way to the top the first time around,  I tend to want to go at my own pace so I can enjoy the lore and quests without feeling rushed through it.  I have read plenty of speculation with some saying yes you can and others saying no you cant.  Has anyone got any expirence on this that can say for sure it can be soloed to level 50?  Thanks in advance!

Yes, it's very soloable. Of course grouping gets you better exp and rewards but yes, you can definitely solo aion all the way to 50.

i think a lot of it has to do with the character you choose.  if you are a spirit master for instance, i think you will have a better chance to solo alone since they tend to do better with a 'pet'

i personally think aside from the first 15 lvls or so, that it gets pretty difficult to solo some of the main quests.  but i think for the most part, as long as you do the main quests with a group and then split off on your own, you should be okay to solo it.

You would have an absolutely difficult time soloing the Tursin Outposts and Garrison. Maybe near-impossible. You could solo-grind if you wanted though.

Well, I guess you could... The betas so far have all been capped to level 30, so hard to tell past that...

What I can tell you is that once you reach lvl 25, most of your quests are going to be in the Abyss, so you can probably most of the quests but could have a hard time with the opposite faction...

Maybe someone who gave a shot at the chinese version could help you more than I can right now...

Thanks very much for the information.  I am not new to MMOs and not opposed to grouping...thats the point for the most part.  But over the past  couple of years, the current MMOs have spoiled me to solo play and was just hoping it could be done :)  Thanks again!

I have played this game for a while now and I can tell you:

There is plently of soloable opportunity, especially at low levels. You can spend quite a bit of time wandering alone and grinding out the many kill quests that are available. There are even repeatable quests (kils 10 crabs, turn it in, kill 50 crabs, turn in quest, kill 100 crabs, etc)

HOWEVER- MANY, many of the key quest lines will absolutely require you to  group. Someone mentioned the Tasrin out post. That region is absoultely deadly solo, even if you are above the average level for the region. Several main quests are in that area as well so you will have to group to advance the main quest lines.

Why buy and pay a sub to solo?  it's a MMO the whole point of the game is Multiplayer. Every one solos a litle but it's like buying a cow when all you want is a glass of milk.

    That's just my opinion.

Like someone previously posted, you will have a VERY tough time completing quests in the Turrsin Outpost and Garrison solo. In fact I think it's impossible. However, you can grind on other mobs to move past that if you really want to.

Some people prefer leveling solo but enjoy grouping for PvP or certain PvE experiences (or having the option to group, in other words). Others will never group but enjoy the interaction and economy offered by MMORPGs. There are many, many more appeals to MMOs besides being able to raid the entire game.
