Well... I think ArenaNet has a long way to go before it takes the spot of WoW, and because you brought it up... I'm going to totally babble all your ears off (you will be sorry).

I am not saying that it won't in time if they play their card right. But at the moment, Blizzard has the money to spend on promotions and commercials. Not only that, Blizzard is coming out with their own Warcraft movie and as it stands, it will be directed by Sam Raimi who also directed all the Spiderman movies.

I really wish someone could take them down a few notches, only enough to realize that they might have competition. It's no different than Microsoft dominating the OS.

And the staff at ArenaNet really seem to somehow connect with all the players. They do not just seem like Game Masters monitoring everything from a distance... they bring out their Game Masters in the game and talk to everyone and answer their questions. They even bring out the Game Masters out durring special events to join with the other players.

The thing I enjoy about Guild Wars that I hope that will be copied in GW2 is that fact that there was not much grind.... not only that, the characters that you play and how good you were, were all based on what skills you used.... not how "geared" you are. Everyone has the same oportunity to get the same armor and weapons with a little work.

With WoW, you are held with high expectations. You must be fully "geared" with all epics. If you are not geared, you can not get into any type of instances unless you know someone... and the whole time the team is complaining you are not putting out enough DPS, or enough heals... then when a really good piece drops, usually your not lucky enough to get the winning roll. Its a vicous circle... and my question is always "How am I supposed to get geared, if you don't want me because im not geared?"

With GW, I never have to worry about getting on a team. If I suck, it was because I did not use my skills correctly... not because of my "gear". I am sure GW2 will have new armor... but I hope they don't go overboard with it like WoW does. It would be nice if they have a LARGE amount of armor to pick from, and even some that look epic that takes a ton of ecto's or whatever... but the person who is poor (because they have a full time job in real life) may not be able to afford the epic looking armor, but they are still able to get the same armor, it just doesnt look "epic" (thats kinda how it works now).

I can not wait for GW2 to come out... I have been waiting and waiting. I will also be one of the first people in line for it. Lets bring down WoW a notch, and ArenaNet... please don't let it go to your head, don't ever change how you treat us... almost like family.

Also, make sure you check out the GW2 trailor (very cool!)

Okay, im done babbling.... I promise.

I have a theory that by 2013 WoW will be on it's last limbs unless it really pulls something out of its ass. I won't really go into detail but it generally involves Aion, Star Wars, and GW2 contributing greatly to its downfall. If i am wrong, then it will be supported by a ton of scrub 10 year olds.

    The End.

    LOL. Not going to happen.

I wish, but if you think that's going to happen you're seriously dreaming.

    Hey it may just happen.

Blizzard is making a new MMORPG, even though they have WoW

So I dont see why ANET wont make a new CORPG even though they have GW1 and 2

Blizzard have an MMO out and they are working on a new MMO.

ArenaNet have Guild Wars out and are working on Guild Wars 2.

Exactly the same scenario...Blizzard aren't working on a third MMO before the second is even out yet. Why would ArenaNet do that either? It makes no sense from a business perspective to split your resources in order to create another game that will potentially steal customers away from your other future game.

Except that ArenaNet is not making Aion.
