Believe it or not there are a lot of people who try their hand at ganking but might not be any better than you. Really. I've had numerous times where someone snuck up on me to take me out and instead I wiped the floor with them.
So... don't freak out, attack back and you might be surprised at how well you do. Don't forget to take a potion while fighting and maybe early to A: mitigate the damage they are doing and B: to allow for the cool down so that you might have a chance to take a 2nd potion.
If you lose then nothing really bad will happen. And just hit the "back to town" or wherever you go quickly so as to not give the attacker the satisfaction of gloating if that's their thing.

In abyss, when in doubt of a fight, roach your way out. Run of a ledge, drop far down, spread your wings, fly, find a hiding spot and wait till the RAID can goes away.
Just because you've been playing since CB doesn't mean that this person is worst than you. He just got you when you were *down*. But you know you're having more fun and that all matters.
Listen to some 3OH!3 and kick back and have fun. Or listen to your own music. Either way just have fun .
