One of the best f2p mmo ive played this year. Everyone should at least take a look at it and try it out and let me know what you think.

Why not? Its very easy to overlook this game.
Its IP blocked for the US and a few European countries.
This is no way to run an MMO.
what? this is not the us version? then what is it doing here?
I don't know about the US (trying it now,) but the beta client download is hosted in Europe and i'm downloading it from a server in London so I kind of doubt they blocked European IP addresses.

We are working at the moment to open the game to more countries in the future.
Due to commercial reasons we will have to set up an IP block for other countries, including during the beta. Countries that are not in this list won't be allowed to play Ys Online

DO overlook this game if you live outside of the EUROPEAN continent!
Gee Whiz... Why does this sort of SHIT keep happening?
I live in America (USA) and shouldn't be punished by not even being able to play a game like this in the North American Continent.

To "Key to Play":
I have a VERY simple 2 step solution to resolve this issue:
1. Stop lying to us about the licensing not allowed outside of European Countries.
That is easily fixed IF you really want to do so!
2. Have a European ONLY server. Fine.
ADD a NON-European Server for ALL NON-European Countries!

I can't understand why its so hard for people to READ and UNDERSTAND what they read.
This game is actually pretty good from what I've seen so far, too bad everyone cant just connect and play though.
However I dont care if the people posting here cant play,, it clearly shows what sort of attitude you have and even if the community is small in the game, atleast so far they have all been polite and mature, its the last thing I would call you.
i wouldnt call u polite either, as for the reason we arent "mature" is the fact that we are disgruntled and angry that we wasted out time in downloading isntalling and patching a game we cant even play. so before you start calling us names read over your post and see whose the rude one. On another note. yes the game seems great. i dont deny that. The fact is I played the Y;s games. so you cnat help but get excited at the mmo of it. jsut to be let down from an ip block.
Edit: id also like to point out that most of us would not ahve made the mistake if the call of solum werent on the mmorpg game list.

I did no name calling, I simply said what my impression of peoples behavior was based on their posts.
I really think its too bad everyone cant just play and that its not pointed out a bit more that its limited to certain countries, since that might waste peoples time. However, the way people have posted their oppinion about this is as you said, people are angry and etc, but being mature is handling your own anger and still making your point without needless douchery.
lol nice word. yea i lose control when im pissed too i openly admit it but i go back to my fluffy self again after a few minutes. I would also like to apologize if my last post offended you in any way. just had a bad day. But your point is very valid. Great game...but...as someone posted earlier. it was kind of ridiculous of them to give people in the US beta keys if they were ip blocking. but thats jsut my opinion based on the little bit of info i have seen.

And I'm not even saying I disagree, I think its sucks like I said before that not everyone can play... hopefully you will be able to eventually or maybe theres some other way you can play O.o.... but I was mostly just aiming at how the people had posted in this thread.
Yeah I can imagine it would suck to be in beta and then suddenly you cant play anymore, maybe they thought they would be able to get us licene also or something.

Besides, I dont know why all the fuss about US IP's being blocked, just wait, we europeans also got blocked and still are from Mabinogi and I never saw any american arguing about it... so shush
mabinogi kinda sucks u cant customize ur character unless u buy something and its also limited to 1 character. unless they changed that i havnet played that in a while and i never really played it per se. saw the opening CG and just didnt like it.
