You could play and find out.
It looks like no one here has already seen it. I didn't do any research so i can only guess there are some high level raids and some "epic"" quests, you know the standard things in an MMO and maybe some other fancy stuff.
edit:damn typos
games by sony have always been high ended.. (well except planetside)
basing the judgement on EQ1, this mmo is probably going to provide much more things to do after you cap than most of the mmo's out on the market (the only game I can think of that comes NEAR that is daoc)
How do you think sony keeps hundreds of thousands playing EQ that have already capped? There are so many things to do. Fun things. Thing that make you WANT to cap faster. I'm sure Sony won't let us down with this one, there are things to do, trust me
(by that I mean dragon raids, epics, etc.)

I miss DAoC
If your goal is to simply reach the level cap then I think you are missing the point of that game.
the point is to have something fun to do that doesnt involve drinking and driving...LOL
I stay up later than the rest of my family and I have made several very good online friends. We enjoy getting together in game and doing whatever. The point of anything in life is that you should really ENJOY IT. If this isnt enjoyable go find somethig that is. You only get one shot, so make the most of it.
Now that I have preached to you, I really do play the game simply because I like to. Hopefully you will also.
Just like in EQ there isn't anything to do once you reach your level cap, at least in the way you and I see it. EQ2 is the same as EQ in this regard. If you can reach the level cap you then go on raids and get new items. You hang out with people and kill things. so you kill stuff to get a higher level, so you can kill more stuff to get another level and so forth. Then you can either craft/buy/quest for new items for your character. All the time hanging out with other people online. For some it is a selling point, for me it isn't.
So there isn't any RvR or PvP for you to do. Nothing new that opens up for you. Maybe in the future they will add it, but I honestly doubt it. Many games have tried some version of PvP and most of them have not done well with the exception of DAOC and WoW. Even Mythic is going to PvE in their next game because they feel there is a much larger audience for PvE games right now and that is where the growth potential is.
well, not driving anyway.
seriously though, the point is having fun while on your way to the level cap, not just getting there
