Atlantica disk space error... please help!!!

ValirekValirek Member UncommonPosts: 24

I downloaded Altantica online and installed it fine, but when I load up the game, it opens up the patcher and before downloading a patch, gives me this message:

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"There is limited space on the selected drive. You may experience

complications due to insufficient storage space. We recommend that

you clear enough space before you try again."

Installed drive and leftover free space - C: 6,522,485,440.00 TB

Recommended Free Space(Max) - 17.0 MB

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

WHICH makes NO sense because how can a computer have 6,522,485,440.00 TB???? I have an alienware (FTW!!!) and it has 1.5 TB (terabyte), so how the heck do i not have enough space on my C drive? (Which is the drive with the 1.5 TB), when it only needs 17 MB??????? I clicked everything, searched everywhere, and nothing, no solutions, and it wont patch or let me play.

P.S. I have downloaded the game from multiple mirrors, so it is not corrupted data, also, I have downloaded the patch manually and that doesn't work either. Also my computer is a Windows Vista, if that is of any importance.

Please someone help!!!

for some reason i have the same exprience with you but not that much of memory tera.. well anyway have you tried to run an an antivirus to scan your whole computer?or have you tried to reformat your whole computer?

and oh btw, make ensure that your firewall is not blocking Atlantica or add your atlantica to the exceptional list of Firewall and to your antivirus...i guess this will work ^^

I tried what you said, and added Atlantica to my firewall list and to the allowed programs in my anti-virus, but nothing, it still gives me the same error =( - Did u get rid of the message by doing that?? Or do you still have it as well? Please if anyone else knows how to fix it, please help >_<

yeah try to partition it. because of massive free space trhat you have the client seems not to handle it so the information went wrong i guest so it will be better if you have your own partition for this game

no... rty to contact ndoors and ask them to solve this problem A.S.A.P. because this bug scares off hardcore gamers (like ones with alienware or other heavy gamer PCs).

No game is worth formating and partitionating your hard drive for. Not even Atlantica which in my eyes is the best game i ever player (and i did many).

Come on... Give me a break!

what the hell... why do you need to contact the NDoors???

maybe your reffering to make and forward a ticket to customer support of Atlantica Online, i think its the right way than to go directly to NDoors...

Let's just say i don't trust the customer service as much as you do...

My ex-guildies had problems logging in for more than 3 weeks now (philipinos and malays) and they sent tickets after ticket and nothing happened. OK... something did happen, they were kicked out of the nation because of innactivity...

Come on... Give me a break!

I have exactly the same problem of the OP

I just changed PC and put some huge HD into; Atlantica launcher seems not able to read correctly such sizes.

I already opened a ticket, I won't partition my HD for sure... Atlantica will wait.

yup the right thing to do. this problem is already common in all applications. You need to create a small partition where the hard disk can read it as giga bytes
