I played this game and got to lvl 62, it took me like 3 months. Then i realized that it was a complete waste of time because you had to grind basically 95% of the exp to get to the next lvl. It is a good game and all but when you start getting into the higher lvls there becomes less and less to do, well atleast that was the way it was when i played it. I recommend this game if you like to grind a lot otherwise if you want to play it you will probably quit around lvl 40.

Sounds to me like you enjoyed the game for 3 months....

this game is fail. delphi server is underpopulated so gettng a party [required for certain boss quests] is impssible, so therfore, u cannot progress. well u can, but your crippled by missing out on the good loot. but before you even get ther, know this, the devs are unresponsive, the game buggy, and currently they are considering server merge. my take on that is fix the game first. anyway, pass if you value your leisure time and play windows solitaire for a more fufilling experience. the only good thing i can say is when you do actually talk to sum1, they are generally very helpful, even the ones who pk u :P  . but thats a reflection on good fellow players and not the game. anyway, stay away from cubizone in general. one visit to their website should be clue enough to steer clear.

on a side note, i hate that every post ive replied to has been negative, but i havent had a good gaming experience since i was a eq2 noob. i only left cz theres only so many characters you can play until you get bored. :((

All those so called "free to play" mmorpgs are ripp offs...all of them have not much content and are very similar, they are clones. They have the same business concept to function as a cash mashine with item shops, they dont offer gameplay for entertainment no...they offer marketing strategies to earn money. Stay away from them except you are new to mmos and you need to get your expirience with it. If you really have no money to play quality mmorpgs play on private servers, but dont waste your time with so called "free games"....

The graphics really arn't that great.. Played it with an nvidia geforce 8600gt a while ago..

The gameplay was dull and i deleted after like 2 hours.. Just another f2p crap grinder.

    On an edit.

It only looks decent on screenies because of the freaking excessive Gloom, the textures are not that great.

I think this game is a big sh*t!

Slow combat! Slow gaming! Slow lvl and a quest need 40-60 mobs to kill its really booring and Repetitive!

Latecy issues! so... you have to choose!

I would agree Perfect World is one of the better, if not the best, F2P if it weren't for the item shop. The item shop is vastly overpriced yet completely necessary after level 50 or so, if you want to be competitive. You can buy item shop resources in-game from people willing to sell, but you can bet you'll be breaking your bank to do so, in addition to the price of NPC items/travel you'll already be paying for. It's hard to make money in that game unless you have money, and having money usually means spending REAL money on item shop, then selling those items in-game.

Also, the ownership of provinces needs to be re-evaluated, as top guilds own almost the whole map and will frequently make leveling on their land difficult if not impossible, and since owning land rakes in large amounts of money, they will always have better gear and...well better everything, than you! So taking them down? Not going to happen unless you and your guild are willing to spend major amounts of real money getting your gear to their level. Then, maybe.

Also, leveling is enjoyable until about 40. 40-50 gets grindy as quests become fewer, but it's still doable. Past 50, if you don't have a guild you'll have trouble leveling, and every single percentage past level 60 will make you cry in pain D: Frankly I'd rather grind in Rappelz than PW, and that says something.

I played PW in Closed Beta and for a few months in Open Beta and have a lot of experience doing Territory Wars and running a guild, so I've experienced a large part of the game.

I quit at level 72, so I did not get to experience Heaven/Hell.

But this is what I can say about the game:

    Pros:

On a good PC the graphics do look very nice, especially for a F2P MMORPG that is actually very old. Although it recently came to the U.S., the game has been in several other countries prior to it's release here.

"Free" if you are a very casual player. In other words, once you're level 60 and above, it's going to take you a week (or more at higher levels) to level up unless you are buying hierograms. If you aren't buying hiero you're going to not be included in many activities. If you don't mind soloing for almost the entire game then it'll be free (or unless you have a REALLY nice friend who is giving you item mall items for free.)

Flying and PvP. Way before Aion came out (which looks like a PW clone to me) PW had flying and PvP...combined. PvP in PW was a lot of fun. Especially...

Territory Wars: Very fun thing to do with your guildmates. Other MMORPGs I've played didn't have integrate guilds into the gameplay deeply. But PW does a great job of it, in my opinion.

    Cons:

Not free if you want to do...almost anything. If you want to participate in a territory war you aren't going to be able to unless you have a hierogram or your guild doesn't have enough OTHER people with them.

If you don't have hiero you can forget about suceeding in PvP. You can forget about a lot of TW. You can forget about FB runs. Why? You'll be dead before you know it if you don't have a hierogram. And once your group realizes you don't have one, there is a very good chance they'll ditch you and get someone who does.

No hiero also means no zhen parties. In other words, at level 60 when it takes one person 1 day to level up with hiero and EXP scrolls, it will take you a week or more of solo grinding on the same mob.

(Yes, EXP scrolls are an item mall item that give you more exp for an hour).

Not only that, but you can literally trade real money for game money at the auction house. Since TW bidding is dependent on a guild's funds, the guild with the richest people (in real life) always have more game cash. It is essentially built in real money trading. The richest folks have the best gear in the game.

I knew someone who spent several thousand dollars on the game just to be the #1 ranked player in the server. I know because he was in my guild >_>.

Very repetative: Kill 10 of these. Now kill 10 of these. Now kill 10 more of the things you killed before. Repeat for 60 levels. After level 60 you barely get any quests and it's all about zhen parties, FB runs, and whatnot.

Exponential EXP growth required to level. It's extremely easy to get to level 30. My friend and I did it in 36 hours. Getting to 40 took a few more days. Getting to 50 took a week or two more. Getting to 60 took like a month.

    And it just gets worse.

While you can level from 60-61 from a day of zhen, it takes maybe 6 days to do it after 70. I believe that level 100-101 is all of the exp from level 1-80 combined. It's very slow...and very boring.

So if you want to be a very casual player and just play solo (in other words, you're missing out on 75% of the game) then it's free and you can enjoy it.

If you want to play the game for what it's worth and actually get into groups with others, you're going to have to dish out a lot of money. A lot.

You can get to level 40-50 without spending anything pretty easily, but after that it's pretty much a requirement.

    I wouldn't recommend this game.

Biggest problem I had with PW was game freezes totally locking up the computer requiring a restart and normal crashes to desktop - this was NOT an isolated instance and occurred on 2 different machines - my older PC and much newer Quad Core Gaming Rig.
