SWG vs AC2 I have played both.
There is nothing about AC2 that is better than SWG. Nothing.
BTW, AC2 has roughly 6,000 - 12,000 total players vs SWG which has over 200,000 - 300,000 total players. And both games are modern, brand new, multi-million $$$$, state of the art, MMORPGs using the latest technology to make their brand new game engines. Both are 4th Generation MMORPGs. AC2 has been out for roughly 2 years. SWG has been out for roughly 1 solid year.
SWG does have 1 free month. You have to buy the box. (and the space expansion if you want to fly spaceships.) After the 1 free month, then you have to pay a subscription fee.
AC2 does have 1 free month. The game itself might still be free to download also. It is unofficially a dead game. AC1 is far better than AC2. Proof is AC1 has roughly 50,000 total players vs AC2 which has roughly 6,000 total players.... even after being out for almost 2 years!
I have been with SWG for almost 6 months now and I have yet to see any NEW servers so don't let this post fool you there.
Sure, SWG does have some servers that have the limit of server load during peek hours. Roughly 25 servers + test server. The graphics as they stated are some of the best. High end machines don't have much problems with them, however it is not a game I'd attempt to run something less than a 1.8ghz or lower on for the load time between worlds and transit.
The addon feature for SWG - Jump to Lightspeed makes the game more interested for an additional one time fee for it's addon purchase, but well worth it just to fly the X-Wing Support is great for the game but again even they are limited to how much support they can offer on video issues due to the game only supporting top brands and cards.
In my opinion and no offense to those who continue to play for I'm on vacation lol, but it drags on and on with the same stuff which until the JTL got very boring after a while. Nevertheless a great game to pass the time with!
