i have to admit i've been having a blast in AO. which is weird cuz i've been without a decent mmo since i got bored with mines of moria. AO is fun and the combat is fun since i love final fantasy. i even got some of my friends and family to play who got sick and bored of *that* mmo everyone else plays. everythings been going fine, even manage to land in a very nice active friendly guild which is always a plus.
so i decided to use the item mall, and my roomate, who i brought to play, uses the item mall as well. next day, bam, our IDs are both blocked out of the item mall. i emailed customer service asking why, they said its for credit card fraud protection since two credit cards came from the same IP. so i email them back explaining to them how a router works and how two computers can share the same IP. wait a week and no response. so me and my friend get the bright idea of just buying two $10 cards since they wont let our CCs through. sure enough, even thats blocked out. well its been over a week now, and still no response or help. its fine though, if they dont want my money thats fine. however we cant refund these cards now and cant get any help to use them. sure i could just create another account and use another IP thats floating around to use my card, buts its the principle of the matter of how utterly useless their customer service is and how they treat PAYING customers.
the game itself is still tons of fun, since i'm high lvl now i can make plenty of money just to buy mall items with ingame money. if anyone is looking to try something thats not like *that* game, i highly recommend AO. just becareful with their mall shop. great game, crappy company.

So... if i have 2 credit cards from two different banks, i can use just one of them? That's stupid and i doubt that this was the real reason... Maybe the fact that you share the same IP and wanted to buy for two different accounts item mall stuff was the real reason here.
Like most of us, i didn't read the EULA but i'm pretty sure that there is something about IP sharing in there and that you should announce the devs about the two accounts that share the same IP to avoid inconveniences (like the one above).
Come on... Give me a break!
While that's pretty dumb sounding (especially the cards), you do have to realize that "free to play" companies have to deal with massive amounts of credit card fraud.
Another game I played, Sword of the New World, kept having credit card processing companies drop them because of this issue. When I quit, they were using one in another country (which sucked because you;d get hit by a foreign currency transaction fee every time you used it).
