I got the game loaded from Fileplanet, i get to the last patch and the game tells me i cant play cause
The programe is unavailble in your Country ?
Im in the USA, loaded from Fileplanet- Any Reason for this ?

I installed it to my desktop pc with no problems using the PlayNC downloader client thing.
On my laptop I had downloaded the 1.5 entire installation file via torrent - when I installed from that I got the same error. Wrong country.
Anyone know the workaround for that?

I re-installed there Game-Gard to see if thats whats the cause ?
Ive been at this ever since they allow us to load OB files, wish one day they get this patching game stuff better set up.. Lawl
In the NCSoft launcher, go to File-->Settings-->Advanced
What region is selected? If it's Europe and you have the NA client, try selecting the correct region. Not sure if that will fix the problem though
i had the same error, downloaded from the same fileplanet too. So far there's no solution i think. If you check Aion source lots of people are having the same error/problem. Hopefully we get a patch or something before open beta.
Nope all good there, and yet still gives me that error message..
Ok got rid of that error message,
Try this,
Right click the Aion icon, Click Properties and select-Compatiblity and check the box, run as adminstrator.. Now after you done that it say cant connect to the sever..
Hope we can get this working..

Same. I thought maybe I installed the wrong client from torrent and started trying the fileplanet d/l manager. Wow, the dumb thing crashes my machine at around 4 gigs and once I get my pc restored I cannot resume but have to start over. On my 4th try so far. You'd think the money-grubbers at FP would get it right one day being this is the only real service they provide.
The issues seems to be a universal issue. Just sit back and wait. The OB did work last weekend. It doesn't at the moment. I have a feeling Aion is gunna have these issues with GG. GG is a lazy way of protecting from hackers and extremely useless. They should seriously get rid of it and hire a team to monitor the game day and night. Much more protective. That can't use districts as an excuse either. GW is without GG and it uses the same system.

hello i had the same thing going on with mine just two days ago have not had porblem sence when u launch ncsoft right click on Aion and do a Repair (consistency check) this helped me.. i can get to movie and log in screen

After i did a repair, it just does the same error..

i downloaded everything from the nclauncher and the same thing happened to me.
the silly thing is that i had no problem playing cb.
seeing as a lot of people are having this problem im hoping it will sort itself out, or a patch comes out or something

Same issue here.. guess Gameguard the reason. Lets hope they sort it for when ob starts.
Stop blaming GG for every single little thing just because it is the first thing it comes to mind.
The servers and the launcher are in the process of patching and preping for OB this include Gameguard also, I downloaded from torrent source of the full client and also the patch version just for the heck of it. Reinstalled Aion, but of course the servers are down from preparation for OB so the launcher does not proceed. Once the prep work is complete it will be fine. The error message really just to let you know you can't go any further atm. Plus what would you do even if you can get into the log in screen? Server is not up so you can't create characters.
Just because GG have issues in the past does not mean everytime something happened it is somehow GG's fault, just to clear it up before someones start bashing GG based on false information.
However, I am glad you solved your problem. First thing that always goes wrong is that someone does not run their computer with administrator privilege.

i know i cant do anything even if i log in but it ll be nice to put my mind at ease and now that when ob comes everything is ready

Took it out of context much? I was simply refering to someone who said they think gameguard is to blame when patching the server is actually a standard practice, plus the error was the result of not running his system as administrator.
Seriously, stop taking it out of context. That was not a blame, it was just telling you gameguard is patching.
Edit: Plus can you also stop taking the first sentence in quotes? I mean I further explained why this was not gameguard error related other than the fact they are patching server. If you leave all that out, does that mean you only read the first sentence? ~_~ Well it is nothing new on forums anyways.
