    Options? He's got it about as easy as you can get, the only thing even laxer then house arrest is weekend jail.

    Use it on learning something like programming, painting, some handcraft or what ever. It would be dumb to waste all that time fapping and playing mmos.

    If you did not lose your job, try and do something creative, start a new hobby.  Or learn more about something you have always been interested in but never had the time to research.

    If you lost your job, research the job market now and start making plans, make a resume, and find out which entry positions open doors etc.
