Couple of quick questions, thanks ahead.

Will you be able to take your OB toon to the Release?

What time will the OB start?

    Also, if I have a closed beta account. Will I need to make a new open beta account?

               -  No, characters will reset and names will be deleted.  Name selection for Release will open Sept. 18 and pre-order gameplay will begin Sept. 20.
     
    What time will the OB start?
     
              -  Likely 12:00 noon PST or PDST, September 6.

                   -   You will need to change your password to update your account but otherwise no.  Should have gotten an e-mail about changing your password to update your account, that's all you need to do.

    no, you don't have to create a new account. If you have your CB game installed, it will automatically update when you go to the game site. You might have to update your password. I didn't, and I was in CB

    Nope, you'll have to create a new character when the game is released. Isn't starting over fun!

    I always thought it was 12 pst, but that letter was put up today. It looks to be a letter from the Lead Producer. Earlier the better I guess.
