Error code 124, 153 Please help

in Aion

I am getting this damn error over and over again. And asking me to download game gaurd is there something I can do to get rid of this error please I dont want gamegaurd I have AVG and Norton that came with my laptop. Please some one advice.

Tried and hate: Shaiya, Lotr
Played:Shiaya
Playing: WoW, Last Chaos
Love: WoW
Waiting for: AION

    GameGuard is installed with Aion. It wants to update it. You have to if you plan on playing Aion for it is part of the game, used for anti-hacking in-game.

    Buddy. Nearly everyone is getting similar errors. GG servers and NCsoft servers are down. The game is not running. Give it until Sept 6th to acclaim it as a problem. Also it worries me that you have AVG and Nortons. Stick to one and your system will never fight over what is going on. Also Norton is a complete waste of memory. AVG is free and I've never used it, but AVIRA and a couple others are better. You would be better off getting Kaspersky's or BitDefender instead. You will have to live with GG if you play this game. That is their hacker protection.

    game gauard is not an anti virus, its an anti cheat (well supposed to be)

    Yep. But there is a version of it out there that is. It's horrible and crappy. People need to disown nProtect and set up their own defenses. Probably the best thing I can say about WoW is that it uses a hidden anti-cheat system. Then again It also has it's own client etc. More companies need to adopt that system. Especially F2P games and not to mention P2P games.

    I like to know if there anyone geting error with the numbers 114 ?   it shows in the white box ????? ?????? ????  Another box it has 114 error.

    Thanks for any help you can offer me with.

    Just need to wait until the 6th when the servers are ready for us to log-in and play. It's funny how tests of patience can make people wild.

    Just be patient and aion will update. I was getting the error yesterday then it updated today and I can get to the login screen.

    If you update Aion now the error goes away

    I have gottent he program is not available in your area or whatever, if that is your error, make sure you are updated to 1.503 or whatever it is, the newest patch. I know there are other issues, but, for this one, ifyou open the launch, and hit check for updates till you get to the 1.5.0.3 one it might fix it.

    I loaded the 1.5.03 and still got that 114 error,  anyone belive it go away on the 6th ?  or is it on my end ?

    i have acg also when game gaurd load up it makes avg thinks it a virus for me i just shut down resident shield to allow it to load game guard and after it finishes i turn it back on and loads up to the log in screen ,cant whait till the 6 :P

    I think its possible to make an exception for Gameguard in AVG or something to that effect.
